The Buena Vista Kandy

We absolutely loved our stay at Buena Vista Kandy. From the moment we arrived, Pubanish made us feel genuinely welcome with his warmth and kindness. Within minutes, it felt less like a hotel and more like coming home. The setting is simply spectacular. Perched high above Kandy, the hotel offers breathtaking views across the city while feeling wonderfully peaceful. After spending time in Kandy’s fascinating but often busy, traffic-filled streets, returning to Buena Vista each afternoon felt like stepping into a tranquil sanctuary. The serenity alone makes this place something special. The architecture is beautiful, the rooms are exceptionally spacious, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Every detail invited us to relax and unwind. If you’re looking for a peaceful base to explore Kandy while escaping the noise and bustle whenever you choose, we can’t recommend Buena Vista highly enough. It was easily one of the highlights of our stay in Sri Lanka, and if we’re lucky enough to return one day, we’d book here again in a heartbeat. Five stars without hesitation.

The bed and the views are amazing. The stuff and the breakfast was so good too.

The rooms are old and the bathroom needs refurbishment, but all was so clean

The location wasn't close to the centre of Kandy as described. More details should be mentioned about the location and the steepness of the roads leading to and from the guesthouse as I was looking for a location that was easily accessible on foot.
