The Buena Vista Kandy

The property is a tranquil escape from the city though only a short 10 minute drive from the hustle and bustle. The home is surrounded by beautiful plants and the morning light is beautiful. Puvannesh was very friendly and hospitable and made sure we were safe when we were out late at night. The style of the home is a beautiful example of tropical modernism, with beautiful details.

Great view

Th bathroom is simple and there are not essential things to use ( brush, toothpaste, ..). No water in room.

Our stay at The Buena Vista Kandy was very comfortable. The room was a great size, was very clean and had a wonderful view over the city. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very polite, offering helpful advice and recommending a driver to take us to nearby sites. It's worth noting that it's not really possible to walk to the city due to the very steep hills and small, winding roads, but it was very easy to hail a tuk tuk. This small distance from the busiest area meant that it was quiet and calm at the hotel.

As a frequent visitor to Buena Vista I always appreciate the warm welcome from the staff and the fabulous breakfasts. Located on a hillside overlooking Kandy Lake, the setting is very tranquil and restful. It is however a short tuk tuk ride into the bustle of the city. The staff are very attentive and help you make the most of your stay.

The bathrooms are now a little tired, but I understand there are plans for refits.
