Excellent hotel in a restored historic building. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Views of river and castle are beautiful. About a 10 minute walk to central Cochem. Lovely, quiet place with a cute wine bar next door. Easy parking behind hotel. No elevator, however, so pack accordingly. Cute self service bar and patio.

I stayed in the junior suite. The one I was given was the more modern one, which I absolutely loved it. On my arrival I was welcomed and the lady at the reception was really friendly and helpful. The room was ver clean, it had a lounge, a bathroom and a separate bedroom. It was very specious and clean. The lounge you could see the river and the castle, stunning views. I went for the breakfast buffet and it was great, lots of variety and delicious. Would highly recommend the place.

The room have been lovely decorated and the front staff is welcoming. My friend and I had some insomnia due to the traffic all night long. One staff member yelled at me because i mishandled the coffee machine. I used a small cup for making latte and it caused overspill. My impression was the cup size is common as France’s hotel.

Close to Castle Cochem with beautiful views, hotel Villa Vie was modern, clean, well kept, and well worth the price. If you are coming in via train and have luggage, make sure to grab a taxi, as it is a short ride from the train station. The downtown is a short walk away.

The room we had had the most amazing view of Reichburg/Cochem castle. The hotel staff were so nice and accomodating. Couldn't have had a nicer shower with a huge rainhead.

We stayed in hotel Villa Vie in December 2021, during Covid and clearly off-season. We were the only guests in the hotel and were treated with utmost attention. We booked one of two junior suites and were given the option to choose between the two rooms. One is in the main building and has heated floors and view of the castle, the other in the older part of the building and has a balcony (with castle view from the balcony). We chose the former, for the indoor castle view and heated floors. It was a nice room, but in my opinion could do with a bit of styling and some more amenities. Most were available in the common area downstairs, but it made the room feel a bit bare bones, especially for the rate that was nearly €200 per night. The castle was just 15 minutes walk away, and so was town. Parking free and right in front of the hotel.Breakfast was standard but good, I loved the warm German bread rolls but would have appreciated a choice of eggs rather than a hard boiled egg.All in all, I think the hotel was nice and we enjoyed our stay, but for this rate I had higher expectations.
