We checked in on December 25, and rented our own car at the airport to drive to the cabin. Along the way, being Christmas, we did not realize the ferry was not working. It made our drive three hours longer than expected. In the future, I suggest letting guest
Know ahead of time about the ferries.
However, upon arrival, the staff made sure to accommodate us at a local restaurant for dinner. Phew! The cabin was clean, and the heated floor was awesome. Due to the remote location of the cabin and dependency of ferries, we stayed fewer nights than planned. However, the breakfast was excellent! Five stars to the chefs! We had the pleasure of spending New Years Eve at the cabin. It was truly unforgettable and one of the best NYE parties I have had the pleasure to be part of. The gourmet Norwegian meal was stellar! The kids got treated to some fireworks. At five minutes to 12, they started their fireworks. Wow! The fireworks lasted a good 10 minutes if not more. Truly was a pleasure staying here. Will plan to stay at the cabin and plan through them excursions they offer.
