About this house rental
There's nothing going on here, some say. Well, say the others!
Since May 2018, we have been renting out our 100 m² holiday home to holiday guests looking for peace, nature, landscape and open space.
In "My house on the dike" couples feel just as comfortable as families - inside it is cozy and spacious enough for at least 6 people and a dog, outside is plenty of space to relax, barbecues, games and romp.
The ground floor is the open kitchen with 5-burner gas stove, refrigerator and dishwasher and dining table for 6 people. A side table offers additional storage space or two more dining areas if required.
Pinewood furniture creates a sense of cosiness in the living area, and the sofa turns into a giant sofa for cozy TV evenings or rainy days thanks to an ottoman with castors. We have many DVDs to watch and also a lot of reading material. If you like, you can heat up the stove and provide cozy warmth.
The warm oak parquet floor creates an all-round friendly atmosphere, which immediately receives you when you enter the small hallway through the main entrance door. From here it goes over a fairly steep staircase in the 1. Floor and on the ground floor in the kitchen, a bedroom with large double bed and in the bathroom area. This has a small bathroom with a short tub / shower and toilet, an anteroom with washing machine and dryer and a separate guest toilet. Through the vestibule, it goes into the cultivation and then out.
Through the sun-drenched, roofed cultivation / shed it goes through the glazed patio door on the beautiful wooden terrace with comfortable outdoor furniture and kettle grill.
On the first floor of the house there are two more bedrooms. In the bright parents' bedroom with two large windows and desk there is a 140 cm wide French bed and a sofa bed. The adjoining nursery has a sturdy bunk bed that is suitable for adults.
Bookworms will love the cozy reading space under the skylight. The floor in the 1. Floor is designed with a soft carpet.
The house is ideal as a base for countless day trips to about Borkum or Baltrum, the Great Sea, to Dangast on the Jade Bay or in the Netherlands to Delfzijl or Groningen. The beautiful town of Leer with its pretty old town is about 20 km away.
In Ditzum itself there is no beach !!! After Delfzijl (NL), north dike or Dangast (Jade Bay) you drive about 1 hour by car.
A deposit of 200 euros will be deducted directly from the apartment and will be refunded after the stay if there are no complaints. The final cleaning fee of 80 Euro is included in the price.
Costs on the spot and discounts:
Minimum stay is 5 days.
The mobile phone reception behind the dike is not guaranteed by every provider. Therefore, a device for mobile WLAN (LTE) is available, which can be booked and charged with 1 Euro / day flat rate.
Bed linen and towels are not included, are provided if required in sufficient quantity. Laundry package p. P 15 euros.
Baby high chair free of charge.

Das war schon unser 2. Aufenthalt in dem gemütlichen Fischerhäuschen am Deich. Hier haben wir Ruhe und Entspannung gefunden. Ditzum ist ein malerisches Dörfchen ohne den üblichen Tourismusschnickschnack. Das hat uns besonders gefallen.

Dieses Ferienhaus hat alles was man zur Erholung braucht. Der Garten mit dem Ausblick ist ein Traum. Im Wintergarten haben wir schöne Spieleabende verbracht. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Wir haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch unser Hund Paula. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war super und zur Begrüßung hab es ein Glas leckeren Honig. Bei Nachbarin gab sehr leckere frische Hühnereier. Das Haus ist perfekt für eine Auszeit und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

All unsere Erwartungen wurden erfüllt, der Fährmann der Ditzumer Fähre brachte uns trockenen Fußes über die Ems. Der Kontakt zur Gastgeberin war sehr nett, und die Hühner der Nachbarn legen leckere Eier :-)
Als Gastgeschenk gab's sogar ein Glas Honig, Dankeschön.

Die Ferienwohnung war in Ordnung und wie in der Anzeige beschrieben. Alles hat funktioniert und war in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Etwas unangenehm war, dass wir bei Anreise zuerst einige Spinnen in den Räumlichkeiten beseitigen mussten. Die Außenanlagen konnten wir aufgrund des Wetters leider nicht nutzen.
Die Kommunikation mit Frau Sondermann haben wir zum Teil als unangenehm erlebt. Sie forderte vor Anreise unsere Impfnachweise per E-Mail bzw. Whatsapp. Der digitale Versand unserer persönlichen Angaben auf diesem Wege war uns sehr unangenehm und wir schlugen vor, die Unterlagen bei Anreise persönlich vorzuzeigen. Nach ihrer Aussage war es nicht möglich, kurzfristig eine Kontrolle vor Ort durch sie oder eine Vertrauensperson zu organisieren. Es wäre jedoch möglich gewesen, kurzfristig den Schlüsselcode ändern zu lassen, falls wir die digitale Übersendung unserer Unterlagen verweigern.
Nach unserer Abreise erhielten wir dann eine Nachricht, dass uns in den kommenden Tagen zusätzliche Kosten für einen erhöhten Reinigungsaufwand abgebucht werden - ohne vorherige Kontaktaufnahme bzw. Rücksprache durch Frau Sondermann. Diese Vorgehensweise empfinden wir als sehr befremdlich, da die Ferienwohnung ordentlich von uns hinterlassen wurde. Um es der Reinigungskraft zu erleichtern, haben wir vor Abreise unter anderem die Betten abgezogen, den Müll herausgebracht, alles Geschirr abgewaschen und verräumt. Wir können daher keine klare Empfehlung aussprechen.
