Overall, it was a pleasant base for our three-day trip to Dordogne. Our lovely host, Christine, was welcoming and helpful in recommending places to visit and restaurants to try, and the breakfast she prepared was delicious. The room was clean and functional.

This place is great, beautiful all around. I will be back. If you´re going by train, do call Christine, the owner, in advance. If she can, she will pick you up at la gare. Otherwise you have to download Sarlat´s taxi cab application before going, because there is no Uber nor a normal taxi service in town. Walking to the hotel from the Centre Ville will take around 10 minutes and it´s uphill. From la gare...maybe 20... but with luggage it can be hard. Ohh! Do sign up for breakfast and Christine´s amazing brownies and listen carefully to her recommendations. She really knows her region and will advise you wisely.

Wonderful stay in Sarlat! Excellent and varied breakfasts. It was a bit of a walk up the hill back to our room, but the restaurant recommendations our hostess made were excellent. The only critical observation was that the internet connection was spotty. We would love to return when the weather was warmer so we could use the beautiful swimming pool.
