Soho Lofts by Aeria Apartments

The location of this flat is perfect, right in the middle of soho. The flat itself is comfortable and stylish but it feels like it wasn't ever stayed in by the people that designed it. More than 1 coffee each would have been nice for a 2 night stay. Overall I would stay again.

The location of this apartment was perfect—walking distance to theaters, Piccadilly, Covent Gardens, Leicester and Trafalgar Square, Chinatown—with the area still lively and bustling at 3am. The apartment is quite spacious compared to other apartments or hotel rooms in London within the same price point and furnished and equipped with everything you will need during your stay - dishwasher, washing machine, full sized oven, Nespresso machine, microwave and a toaster but why would you cook when there are numerous great restaurants within a 2 minute walk? Everything about the apartment was perfect except for the bathroom—how it was designed and laid out. There was nowhere to put your body soap or shampoo except the bathroom floor which I find cery unsanitary. Aesthetically, it looked pleasing and the glass panels made the bathroom seem bigger but having glass walls for the toilet and shower without blinds or curtains or any means to provide the user any kind of privacy is a big no for me. It also doesn’t help that the bathroom (with the ceiling to floor glass panels) faces the window that is at the same level as the apartment next door. Although the window had blinds, there is about an inch gap where you can clearly peek through to gaze at what is happening at the apartment across the narrow alley. Imagine taking a shower or sitting on the toilet bowl with your private parts facing the window? It was so disturbing that we had to shower and use the loo with all the lights off and had to make do with feeling our way around. Also, you need to pass right beside the bathroom with the glass panels to get from the living room to the bedroom. You definitely cannot stay here with family or friends or anyone else except your partner or whoever else you wouldn’t mind sharing your intimate shower or loo time with because there literally is no other choice. I have stayed in 5 star hotels with the same concept as this and I get that it gives it a romantic vibe to it but the big difference is that there is an option to draw the blinds to get some privacy which should be a given regardless of who you are staying with. In this particular apartment, that option is taken away from the guests and the designers and the owners just assumed it will be ok to strip naked, shower or sit on the loo with the possibility of strangers from across the alley staring or even your companion walking in on you. If this doesn’t bother you, then by all means book this apartment because you will not regret it. But if you value your privacy while in the shower or doing your business in the toilet, you are better off looking elsewhere.

The apartment had a Brlliant location right near the theatres and shops all a few minutes walk away. It was very clean. It had a comfy bed and really nice shower (could do with being more private as the building across the way could see the shower through the transparent screen). The kitchen was compact with minimal crockery and pots. Always very warm. Also had easy access.
