Staff was amazing. The facilities are great. Well maintained and clean. The size of the room was fantastic. May need a de-humidifier to help the rooms to not be so damp. This is our 10th trip to Cancun, first time at Haven. The pool are fantastic — 3 sections to choose from with ample space, seating, and sun exposure as well as seating on the beach. The only reasons we have it an overall 4 stars is because: the food in the buffet was lacking flavor, the menu at the pools - very limited, the Italian restaurant had a great view, but was lacking (esp the desserts, which seem to come from the buffet). Also, at the Italian restaurant - The lettuce at the salad bar was wilted and not cold. We didn’t see all the talent, the magician was lacking but the acrobats were great and the lobby band was great (singing Eagles, Kings of Leon, etc). Be warned that the ocean is full of seaweed and much of that seaweed has accumulated on the beach and smells awful. We love walking on the beach, but we really couldn’t do that here. Nobody really sat at the beach or got in the water. I wish they would offer more fitness classes —like yoga later in the day. I don’t want to wake up before 8 AM while I’m on vacation. I question whether or not all of the water was filtered. We brushed our teeth with the water in our room, but did not swallow. Both my husband and I got upset stomachs. I wonder if they use filtered water to cook, clean plates, cups, and flatware. Great value for the cost. .

Beautiful resort! Wonderful pools. The beach had terrible seaweed which made it impossible to enjoy the beach. Food was very good at the on site restaurants. We had trouble with the ceiling fan making noise but it was fixed the next day. Great stay !
