We stayed at this hotel for two nights. On the first night we were assigned to a room with a street view, and there was so much noise coming from the street that we hardly got any sleep. The next day we requested a new room away from the street side and were assigned a room with a view to the beautiful gardens. Our new room was in optimal condition and there was zero noise at night. The staff was excellent as they made every effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
Lastly, the gym room is made up of 4 cardio machines and two of them are out of service. It would be nice to have all of these machines available.
Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel as long as the garden view rooms are the ones assigned. This is definitely the most beautiful hotel in León. The building itself is a jewel with much history, and the decoration is of great taste. The garden is beautiful as well. The hotel is in itself a tourist attraction.

Same price as Best Western but way better value. My room was huge and I didn't want to leave the hotel. Lobby was big and courtyard was amazing, all open. My bus didn't leave until 1 am and they were very accommodating. Breakfast was big but normal. The staff were very helpfull and good english. I thought the Catholic theme was creepy with Jesus being tortured everywhere.

Leon is a busy and congested and El Convento is an oasis in the chaos. Such a unique hotel experience and super helpful staff. We would tell anyone we know going to the area to stay there!

Beautiful property, walkable, very near the cathedral. Plenty of good restaurants nearby.
