Super close to train station, great value

For convenience (steps from JR Nara station and neighbouring conveniences: in-station supermarket; nearby 7-11; bar; eateries) the location is hard to beat, if a little "corporate".
Staff were really nice/polite/helpful (including, but not limited to, a Housekeeper jumping up from their task-in-process and pressing the lift call button for you).
The included (!) breakfast was decent (mostly Japanese-style cuisine).
Note: Per an overheard conversation, where a French (!) lady was requesting "croissant", it seems it would be best to pronounce it à la Japonaise -- i.e., "ku-ro-wa'san" -- in order to be understood.
The room was compact and, essentially,* well-kept and with a clean bathroom containing dispenser-body wash/shampoo/conditioner, and stocked with toothbrush-and-paste, razor, Q-tips (not clones of the hip-hop artist), etc.
The (self-operated) laundry facilities came in handy -- the charge at time of writing (March 2026) was 300 yen for washing machine (top-loader style), and 200 yen for dryer (30 mins).
There is also a "spa", which I didn't have a chance to experience.
*Quibbles: Dust around the carpet periphery (i.e., where carpet meets bottom of wall) -- I suppose the vacuum cleaner doesn't have the right attachment to tackle it; and a slightly unsightly line in the ceiling "wall"-paper, where there was some peeling away/divergence at a seam.
Overall, solid for a night-or-two's stay -- on the assumption of a reasonable room rate.

Okay to stay, near JR train station, breakfast is till 9am and I missed the time 😕

Not fit for tourists. Only book is you need to stay near train station.
Onsen should not be considered. Unbelievably small and depressing. This is why I booked.
