We had a private pool but it took them over 2 hours to come and clean it and it took another 2 hours to clean and refill it. The property is very far from the major city center, either avoid those attractions or be prepared to travel. Overall a decent stay!!!

We had an amazing time in this hotel. Breakfast is good and the breakfast view is stunning. Room are big and really clean and comfortable. Next time I am visiting Zanzibar I will go again to this amazing hotel

We stayed at Kasha Boutique Hotel for three weeks, and it was the best part of our visit to Zanzibar. The staff was so patient, kind, and attentive to my little family - 2 year old twins and a 5 year old. They helped make arrangements when I could not find the right sized diapers in town. Every day, they made sure that the children's favorite foods were available on the menu. They played with them and greeted them every single time, and now each child speaks a little Swahili. Kasha Boutique Hotel also helped arrange a boat ride for us, ensuring that the guide had child-sized life jackets available. The hotel summoned a taxi for every excursion we made, and helped me get cashed when we needed it. They were receptive to all requests, and when we were leaving, suprised us with a farewell cake and song sung by the staff who had cared for us, all along. We will return to Kasha Boutique Hotel. We booked the Garden room with the private swimming pool for our honeymoon. The pictures make it look like you will be in your own oasis, it doesn't show you will have a neighbour right next door that you can see (due to the matepe poles coming down), hear and smell their cigarettes. We also had a room above us that could look down on us whilst in the pool. Not what we had imaged. Room very comfortable with a lovely large bed and aircon which is very much needed in Feb in Zanzibar. The water in the taps for showering and brushing teeth was very salty, a bit strange. The main area was a very big dark thatch area, felt like we were on safari and not on a beach holiday. The hotel itself is a bit tired I think it could do with a renovation and sprucing up. The reviews on the food was that Kasha was amazing. We are foodies so were very excited to get here and experience it. It was very average unfortunately. The private beach is 60m long x 5m wide and constantly in the sun all day long. There are sun loungers by the pool which are in the shade for relaxing. The spa is great we had two couple massages whilst we were there, much better than the previous hotel we had stayed in. Some of the staff were amazing, but some didn't seem to care much. When ordering a drink make sure you stipulate a single or a double, they just automatically gave me doubles and I only found out when the bill arrived to sign and wondered why I was so pickled after 2 drinks! We had booked for 4 nights and checked out after 3 as we wanted to be closer to the airport for our early morning flight. Not sure I can recommend this hotel unfortunately.
