Room was lovely and within walkable distance of the city. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Had a terrace which was a real treat on a hot day. Students living in accommodation were friendly and polite.

Good location in a quiet part of the city, but still central. Five minutes from Turia Park, immediately opposite the Mestalla Stadium and with two supermarkets within five minutes walk. The old town is a little further at around 20 minutes and the Science and Arts museums around the same the opposite direction. The accommodation was great for me as I was travelling alone and it had it's own kitchen area in the room.

It is perfect for solo traveler. You have all you need to live, wash machines, gym. The breakfast was nice. Staff was great, the guard at night does not know English, it will be better if knew some more. The only issue was that in the gym there was not cleaning paper for the machines, there was sweat stains on machines, easy to clean if you provide a paper roll and a simple cleaning product.

The exceptionally rude older receptionist lady earned a reputation for being frustrating and incompetent among the guests...not just to me. When I arrived at 15:15, she ignored me and would not attend to me at check in for 15+ minutes. She wouldn't acknowledge that I was standing there as I patiently waited upon arrival because she was "finishing something else." Then, she said she couldn't find my reservation, while her kind and congenial colleague attended to five other guests while I was standing there waiting. It was painful after a long journey to have a rude person push you around because she has a small iota of power and is utterly incompetent. Jessica in Housekeeping, Maria at the Breakfast hall, and the rest of the reception staff including Jean Lucas were excellent, kind, conscientious, and made the stay very pleasant. I would come back because of them. The location near the stadium is superb and connection to the Metro is convenient. I hope the rude front desk lady gets some training on customer service. She is awful and had a bad attitude every single day. Saying good morning demonstrates courtesy, education, and respect, especially when we were forced to interact with her to get our breakfast voucher each day. She had no respect or courtesy for guests or other employees, which was really sad to experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at Colegio Mayor La Concepción during my one week holiday in Valencia. It was actually better than I expected and the location is quite convenient as well, since it is not too far away from the city center. The only thing that they could provide in addition would be a hairdryer! :) Overall, I loved it and can definitely imagine to book it again in the future! By the way, Valencia is a beautiful and clean city! :D

A simple place to serve as a base for exploring Valencia. It was a great price, and relatively new, but it smelled SO bad! The bedding was dirty, the shower head was broken, and I couldn’t open the window shade so I had no natural light in the room.

Very good value. Room came with a kitchenette and there is a supermarket nearby. This is a student residence so the room have no frills but they are clean. You can walk to most of the points of interest. You'll have to pay for membership to youth hostel association if you're not a full time student. Subway station nearby takes you to the train station. The staff is super helpful and friendly.

The single room had everything I needed

We stayed for one night at the last minute as the Valencian heat was too much in the apartment we were renting. The room we had was adequately clean though no kettle, even though this was advertised. The shower head was a bit loose but after some jiggling around it stayed in place. Our main issue was that the air con was fixed at 24 degrees, still very warm given the heatwave at the moment. It is basic but aside from the issues mentioned you got what was advertised at a reasonable price. There is a potential surcharge which the accommodation makes clear is necessary in certain circumstances.

Clean, secure and comfortable. Shutters kept out light. Small, but welcome, fridge in room. AirCon constantly fixed at 24c, but was welcome escape from 46c outdoor summer heat. No cleaning on weekends. My single bed seemed wider than a generic single. Great view over Valencia football stadium. I had room 506. Small balcony.

Attending a Valencia game and with hotels in the city being £££ due to the Fallas celebrations, this fitted the bill perfectly in terms of price and location - being seconds away from the Mestalla Stadium where the game would be played (evident from previous visitor photos).Arriving at 1pm, a staff member confirmed that nobody would be able to process the booking until check-in began at 2pm but stored my case while I visited a bar two doors away.Check-in at 2pm was fine and the following day they happily looked after my case after Id checked out and gone to watch the match. Room was a standard student facility with decent sized single bed, desk, shelves, plugs, microwave, hotplate, fridge, but no TV. The en suite bathroom had been cleaned with a strong detergent resulting in an overpowering smell in the room. However opening the balcony door and letting fresh air soon resolved that.Wifi took a little bit of working out - connection with the code provided in the room info was easy enough, but creating a new account to then actually get online took a little bit of work - involving a confirmation text sent to your mobile phone.La Concepcion is within walking distance from the city centre or close by Aragon Metro station. There are some decent bars & cafes within walking distance and the whole area vibe is relaxed. Most other guests were far younger than myself but thats obviously not an issue and I wasnt asked for any student ID etc.
