The setting among native bush with lots of Kauri trees is perfect and the view is beautiful.I had the best night’s sleep for weeks. Loved the fairy down feather blanket ….light and warm but not hot. Spacious with everything one needs. A perfect place to spend a few nights.

Approached by a fairly steep hill this apartment is absolutely lovely. The hosts were informative and suggestions for trips were helpful. The facilities were excellent and we were given instruction without the need to ask. The accommodation suited us and we were able to walk to central Paihia, wharf and beach, within a few minutes. Good supermarket and other shops nearby; Waitangi about 35 min walk. Use the passenger ferry to Russell and then walk from town to Flagstaff Hill (a steep climb) and then round to Long Bay - fabulous beach.

Wow, what a lovely place to stay if you want to explore the Bay of Islands. Our tree house accommodation was just what we wanted. Plenty of room, huge bed, large shower room, even a cupboard to dry clothes. A short stroll down hill to the beach and then into the pretty town. We would recommend this property.

Amazing gem of a place in Paihia. Garth was very welcoming and knowledgeable of things to do in the area. The garden unit was beautiful and had lots of amenities. Place was spotless and had heating (we went at the end of winter) and private parking. Location was great - only 10 min walk to ferry/tour operators. Would highly recommend.

The location of this place was fantastic! Its just off the main street of Paihia but tucked up a driveway in the bush. The view from the balcony is through the trees and looking down on the sea. The room was very large and spacious with a decent kitchenette. The décor was a little dated but it was a very comfortable room. The only issue we had was we had paid for a bed and breakfast and we were only given breakfast on our first morning (continental in our room) and it wasnt topped up the other 2 mornings we were there. We also didnt see the owner again during our stay. It was a bonus to have a deck & balcony in front of the room though, as it gave us room to hang out our dive gear to dry over night.

Apartment is modern and nicely furnished, set amongst a beautiful garden with decking and sea views through the trees, and is only a 10 minute walk down the hill to central pahia. We had a great stay and I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.

We absolutely enjoyed the cosy atmosphere of the "Tree house". Very clean, modern and well equipped. It was also quiet and relaxing, being in the woods, however it was easy to access it, close to the main roads, having good parking spot, and being at walking distance from the beach , shops, restaurants, ferry terminal. Though was raining all the time, we loved the terrace in front of the house (on top of the stairs). Staff was friendly, welcoming, they were providing valuable additional information. I appreciated the coffee (which was plenty and also at least 2 kinds) and the milk in the fridge. It's absolutely a place to go back and recommend to friends.
