    We decided to pay a little bit extra to stay “right in the thick of things”. We were very glad we did as the historical district is right outside the hotel and there were also lots of exhibits within the hotel itself. There is also a large 3 pool onsen to relax in after a long day of shopping and if you don’t want to eat dinner nearby and too early (most shops close before 7:00 pm), the restaurants near the train station a short walk away are also very good. Kurashiki night view is beautiful as well and staying at the Ivy Square allowed us to take some pictures we will definitely print out large for wall hanging when we return to Canada.

    It’s been 45yrs since my first visit. I am so glad I got to go back. It hasn’t changed. It’s still beautiful. Loved our stay.

    Highly recommended. Right by the side to scenic spots. The hotel itself is a historic heritage. Room is small but neat and tidy.
