Green Rich Hotel Kurashiki Ekimae (Artificial hot spring Futamata Yunohana)

Standard of breakfast was poor even when compared to the normal Japanese restaurants and hotels. Staff of restaurant not co-operative enough.

Breakfast should be improved and replenished when items are finished.

This was my first time staying at a Green Rich Hotel. The hotel is located along the main street, making it easy to find, and it’s just a stone’s throw from Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, a popular tourist attraction. At the front desk, I was attended by a Japanes gentleman who had apparently just returned from New York and spoke excellent English — he even shook my hand to welcome me, which was a first in my many years of hotel stays in Japan. The room was extremely clean, and there is a public bath where you can soak away your tiredness. While exploring the vicinity, I also discovered an outlet mall behind Kurashiki Train Station, about a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this place. If I had to nitpick, I wish they offered FREE breakfast for all their hotel guests.

Everything was good, location as well.

The proximity to the station but also to the old town area. The instant coffee was really good! The room was also quite big for Japan.

The onsen was not good! I’m surprised it can be called a hot spring hotel, it was just one small bath.
