    The hotel asked for a deposit (which I think is the usual proactice here in Malaysia). When we checked out they did not check the room, we thought it's the standard procedure. They just gave us our deposit back when we checked out. No one checked the room before leaving. We were trying to catch an early flight and realized too late that we left some valuable personal items at the hotel. We've been trying to reach them the whole time we were in Malaysia, but there was no response at all! The last hotel we checked in at told us to contact then in WhatsApp. I keep calling, no one answered. On the day of our flight home, we went to the property to hopefully retrieve the personal items we left. The front desk said, the housekeeping is in charge of those and she can't help us. I tried calling the WhatsApp number and it just keeps ringing. We were right there! No one's answering. It just keep ringing. Everyone just listened to the phone as I am calling them right there!!!! They told me to go back when the housekeeping clocks in. WE LITERALLY CAN'T BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE OUR BOARDING TIME! Instead they gave me the calling card of the manager. I emailed the manager and there was no response. We are already back in our home country. I am still trying to retrieve my valuable personal belongings. I hope they respond soon. This is not good customer service!
