Lisbon Story Guesthouse

My fault for not reading thoroughly and had to share a bathroom and the room didn’t have AC but it was only one night and it was alright. But 10 stars for Beatrice up front who was so helpful and sweet!!! The breakfast was also excellent and coffee/tea as well. The area is good although it seems to be in a spot where there are many illegal street vendors selling shoes and bags but they did not bother me as a solo female traveler

We had mixed emotions on our stay here. Upon our arrival our Uber driver was nervous about dropping us off in the area we were staying due to safety, which is obviously concerning. We immediately enter the building as he watched us go in.. Once in the guest house it is noticeably clean, reception met with us and went over everything, including the free breakfeast the next day which is nice. room was average size with plenty of room for sleeping three. We went to dinner late due to late arrival and were approached several times and followed out side the guest house until approaching the center of town. This happened to dinner and upon arriving back. In the morning we realized there is some what of a homeless encampment on the street of the guesthouse. So if you stay here be thoughtful of your belongings and be aware of your environment, not letting your guard down. Also we were on the 4th floor , the last set of stairs are old farm stairs , so if you have a hard time getting up and down stairs , make sure you request to be on the first or 2nd floor

Friendly staff , clean room

The hotel was a block away from the metro and right in the middle of everything. The hotel does have shared bathroom, but they stayed clean all the time. There also was not air conditioning but I they have a ceiling fan, and I did not need the air. You have to carry your bags up at least one flight of stairs and maybe 4 flights. They did offer to help me carry my bag. The breakfast was a European breakfast buffet, but it had lots to eat for this American. The last thing is the staff was great and very helpfull. I would stay here again.
