Perfect as expected with safe motorcycle parking and great food with friendly staff

1)I liked the flexible check in : the room was more than 1 day empty so they let me go tot the room before 15:00 o'clock. 2)The room was big and had a terrace at the forrest. it was quiet . There is also a space for to park bicycles. 3)The breakfast was simple, enough coffee/tea and healthy food. 4)The atmosphere in the hotel was relaxed. 5)The payment was for me confusing: i prefer a direct payment at the same time as the reservation by Expedia .In that hotel there they only except payment after your stay so when the guest leaves. Personally i don't want worries about money and bills during my stay.

The hotel is nice from the outside. It’s a historic hotel so we expected some things to be dated. The worst part was the complete lack of WiFi. They say they have WiFi but we could not get it to work on any of our devices in our room. The next part that was rough was the ring of 4-5 keys they give you when you check in to be able to move around the hotel. You need a key for the door to the hotel, a key for the elevator, a key for your room, and a key to the safe. And there is only 1 key ring per room and the room cannot be locked from the inside without a key as well so when you are a family of 4 including 2 teenagers and a dog it is very difficult for people to go separate ways because you can’t get back into the hotel if someone stays in the room because you have to leave them the key so they can lock the room to ensure random strangers don’t walk in. Because you also can’t lock the room with them inside and leave with the key because if there was a fire they would not be able to get out. Also the elevator is terrible. It stops in the middle of a ride constantly.

We really enjoyed our stay, thanks in large part to the fact that because of a cancellation we got upgraded to a front-facing room at the last minute, which provided great views! We were glad we arrived relatively early just so we could hang out on the balcony. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff members were friendly, and the food at the restaurant was great! We had Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast and enjoyed both. Would recommend!

Was unable to take up booking as in hospital with terminal cancer . As a result was not reminded of booking until too late . The hotel is saying they are charging my card . In the circumstances i find this totally unacceptable!!

We have chosen this hotel for the wonderful picturesque surrounding with free parking, breakfast and fridge for the cheese from the local cheese farms. We had everything we needed and even more as we could make a tea, toast and omelette and eat this all at the balcony or big table in the room.

Great base for visit to WW1 battlefields - close to Ypres. Room was perfect for family and very clean and quiet. Restaurant was good value in the evenings, try the soup. Breakfast very good too. Welcoming staff.

lovely area. Accommodation on first glance looks cheap.... the corridor and doors to rooms arent much to look at, but the room itself was lovely. Clean, good standard, beds were comfortable and gave a good nights sleep! Hotel staff were good and wonderful breakfast.

The road outside didnt disturb our sleep.We ate both nights in the restaurant downstairs which is open to the public and was popular on the Saturday night. They do a good value 3 course set meal which was enjoyable. On the Saturday night we both had steak which was superb and again good value.

Lovely hotel with a spacious room and yummy breakfast. I was traveling with 2 friends in Belgium so we booked the triple room for 4 nights. We found the room very spacious for the 3 of us. It was nice to have a fridge and kitchenette. The breakfast was very good with fresh pastries , meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juice and coffee plus much more. We ate a couple of nights in the hotel restaurant and found it very good and so nice and convenient after day of touring. They had good Belgian beers on tap at the bar.

Excellent base for cycling holiday, right in the heart of hundreds of miles of cycling lanes the hotel staff couldn't do enough. Clean rooms with excellent views. Free parking and great base to relax or visit the nearby battlefields, will use again

We spent 1 night here. The views were fantastic, the room was spacious, quiet and clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and all spoke English. We ate in the restaurant and the food was plentiful and tasty, as was the breakfast. We would definitely return if we were back this way.
