Grosvenor Gardens Hotel

Great place to stay — close to everything that you need. Only a 30 min walk to the main tourist sights.

This is a good and clean hotel in a quiet area, but close enough to the centre for visiting most attractions and within a short walking distance from the Haymarket railway station. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was a reasonable size, the bed was comfortable, and the en suite shower functioned well. Breakfast was adequate, with simple choices and served promptly. It has an entrance hall but no other public rooms except the dining room, which is only available for breakfast. I would have awarded it an Excellent if it had a communal sitting room for guests as well.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, clean and water hot in the shower. Very good breakfast was included. Easy 25 minute leisurely stroll to Edinburgh Castle through a nice neighbourhood. The Haymarket train, bus & tram station was 5 minute walk to this guest house. We arrived via train from Glasgow. At the end of our trip we took the Tram to the airport. So this is in a convenient location for getting around. Lots of restaurants and 2 pubs near the train station. Would stay here again if ever back in Edinburgh. Lovely, friendly owner!

The property was excellent in all ways. The location is prime and close to Haymarket station. The rooms themselves are so spacious and well maintained. Such lovely staff and excellent service. Such a homely feel. Breakfast was provided and the ambience was very relaxing. Highly recommend this stay.
