The hotel was amazing in terms of location, beach, swimming pools and the dining options. The only reason I would rate it low was due to facilities, such as they did not have iron and when asked it was against their policy to provided an iron. Furthermore, I called the reception multiple times to remind for the pillows and they failed to bring it over, when I went downstairs, I was told that the housekeeping was closed.

Was looking forward to luxury. Hotel was so not luxury. Double rooms are ALL single beds pushed together. Two separate duvets and a gap in the middle so you can’t sleep together. Very uncomfortable and not ideal for a couples holiday. Indoor pool / changing area / sauna was so disgusting unloved… dark no lights on, grime and limescale on the floor… no we obviously didn’t use it. Breakfast was packed. So staff needed to be quicker on clearing tables and restocking. But no urgency at all. Plus food was very low standard eggs were rubbery or burnt most days. Cleaners for the room basically did nothing everyday minus replace the towels… if they even bothered showing up. We went a few days without and had to request them although we’d been hanging the please clean sign out. Bar isn’t nice. Looks like a boring lobby where they’ve pulled a few old sofas in front of the bar. Also all sofas, breakfast room chairs, chair in the room were really grubby and stained. Literally such a poor standard in this hotel.

The location of the property was brilliant . The meals were great. Also we had the best greeting and check in ever from Igoz . The upgrade too was greatly appreciated. We were only there two nights and will def come back and recommend to theres.

The hotel was ok, good location for cavtat, clean, friendly staff but, it definitely isn't a 4 star hotel. The rooms are very basic, you wouldn't want to spend any time relaxing there. The bar/reception area is also dull. We had one drink and left. 3 star is a more realistic grade.

There was no information about the hotel facilities in the room - no map of the grounds or anything. We had to find out by asking and I am sure we missed out . There was no other food available apart from the buffet so when the weather was bad which it was, we had to eat in the buffet and we were not all-inclusive. The kettle in the room had no plug next to it, there were no tissues or instant coffee sachets. Generally quite dissapointing.

Pool was too cold. Many parasol's didn't have pins,. so they couldn't be raised. Guests were keeping the pins to ensure they could use a parasol the next day. Very geared to all inclusive guests, so for example we couldn't buy an ice cream on site. Some staff at reception were great, others were not helpful. We couldn't get a second key for our room.

The hotel was easy to get to from the airport, we got an Uber which was cheaper than getting the taxi and quicker getting hotel transfer. The room was clean and beds very comfortable had a good night sleep during our stay. However we had a kettle and cups with tea bags but no milk and when we asked we got told that we had to purchase the milk ! Was not happy with that. We got an Uber to go to Dubrovnik old town which wasn't to expensive and was nice to come back to the beach. Cavat town is closed by and was a lovely walk

Room serviced everyday until day before departure. But that wasn’t an issue for us. Towels replaced. Alcohol local and not a great standard. Mostly the staff pleasant. Good convenient location. We went all inclusive as it wasn’t too much extra cost and food of a reasonable standard. Plenty of choice as normal. Some entertainment in hotel and activities. We had no issues with our stay but as in life you get what you pay for. Overall a good stay in a reasonable hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Albatros! The all-inclusive package made everything so easy—great food with plenty of variety, refreshing drinks, and friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location is perfect for relaxing by the sea, and the views are breathtaking. Definitely recommend for a stress-free vacation!

Spacious room with good size bathroom and a balcony, large busy hotel however did not feel overcrowded. Lovely staff very nice and helpful. Good activities during the day and at night. Spa, indoor swimming pool, a small shop. Very good pool, shame people take all the sun lounges by leaving a towel on them and not using them! Food was also good and varied.

The staff turned me away at 1 am saying there were no rooms. I then booked a room on Expedia. They made me wait until confirmation was received, i had been traveling over 24 hours at this point. The bathrooms are horribly designed. Its like a pool shower, no walls, water can get everywhere. In the AM it looked nice but far overpriced.

During our stay we especially enjoyed Epidaurus Festival music in the hotel lobby and Klapa music in the dining room. The weather was wonderful for dining outside. The young man who led water aerobics coaxed almost everyone into the pool to participate! That was great fun. Mato the bar tender was especially courteous, friendly and fun.

However, the hotel experience was average. While the air-conditioning in the junior suite was good, the public areas like the corridors and bar were uncomfortably warm. Cleanliness was also an issue; housekeeping trollies were left in hallways for days, and bird droppings on the balcony were not cleaned, making it unusable. The food was inconsistent, ranging from good to mediocre. Overall, the hotel's stunning location makes it a decent base for exploring the area, but the hotel itself has noticeable shortcomings in comfort and cleanliness.

Very old and run down. Cooking area on floor in restaurant was not clean. Many tables left with dirty pots on, not enough staff to manage this. Totally run down outside sports courts looked derelict. Very sad to see. Food was very poor. No information given about air con, they must have dozens of queries at reception every week. Didn’t see any management/leadership, seems poorly run. Needs refurb, outside areas not maintained. Food /spillages on floors left with cone near it but not cleaned up. Indoor pool changing area and showers just awful to use on last day after needing to check out of room. Absolutely not 4*

So disappointed with the hotel. It’s in dire need of a makeover. Very dated but clean at least. Staff were miserable. Pool area is extremely busy and although it states no smoking allowed, people were smoking constantly. Even in the dining area. The food was ok some days but diabolical on others. There were days when I lived on bread and butter and watermelon. I wish I’d booked my holiday in a neighboring hotel.

We stayed at this hotel in June and overall had a good experience with a few caveats. The staff were the true highlight—special thanks to Dragana, Marijana, Ivan, Alexander, and especially Isa and Igorevich, who went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal. The room was spacious with comfy beds and a fridge (though it was empty). Bedding was oddly small and didn’t fully cover us during sleep. Facilities were clean and included indoor/outdoor pools, a spa, and a well-equipped gym—though some machines needed light maintenance. Food was decent with daily variety and some local dishes (we’d welcome more!). Desserts were underwhelming but fresh fruit and ice cream hit were ok. Carpet and sofa had minor stains—likely from the hotel’s pet-friendly policy. As someone with allergies, I would’ve preferred a pet-free room and no animals in food areas. Poolside could be better managed—chairs reserved by unattended towels, and guesta smoking despite signage. Spa services felt pricey, and hallway noise from kids playing was noticeable due to non-soundproof doors. Still, it was a pleasant stay with standout service. With attention to details, this hotel could go from good to great.
