    The hotel sits in Sultanahmet, which makes it easy to reach the park, the mosque, the tram stop, and the waterfront on foot. The tourist-heavy location comes with the usual trade-offs though: inflated prices and narrow streets shared with passing vehicles. Worth noting that street noise carries into the rooms, and the proximity to the railway makes itself felt. Breakfast is better value at the hotel than at the cafés nearby. We chose this hotel partly because relatives were staying here, and we expected to be in the same building — our room turned out to be in a separate annex about five minutes away. Another surprise at check-in: the photos showed a kitchen that was in fact unavailable. Both issues were eventually sorted out, but updated photos and clearer information at booking would help. The staff are a genuine highlight. Every request was handled promptly and willingly, and one team member went out of her way to bring us pastries from a local bakery — a small but memorable gesture. The room's technical condition is where things fell short. Water pressure in the shower was inconsistent, water leaked from the cabin onto the floor, and the bathroom ceiling occasionally dripped with visible mold. Wi-Fi was unreliable. The air conditioning cycled on and off, threw error codes, and stopped working entirely on the fourth day — apparently all units in the building share one system, which causes problems whenever someone changes a setting. The room was cleaned daily and linen changed frequently, which is appreciated. That said, the duvet cover's fabric tends to trap hair and is hard to clean, and stains on the mattress left an impression that's hard to overlook. A stay with real highs and lows. The location and staff are worth coming for; the maintenance issues need attention.
