The views of the ocean and city were amazing. It was nice to have a kitchen and refrigerator to save money and not eat out all the time. Parking was free, which was also a bonus. The only negative is that it isn't a hotel, it's privately owned. There were no instructions on what to do with trash or what was expected for check out. Anytime you ask the front clerk they were nice but couldn't help. Their response was always, "contact the owner" but since we booked through Orbitz, we didn't have that info. Also, it was nice to have a pool, but it wasnt clearly stated that the pool was a part of the neighboring facility. So you had to leave this building and walk a short block to the pool. Other than that, it was an amazing experience and would definitely come again!

Overall great. Unit three-ten was decent. There were a few issues. The master shower water pressure was low. But the worst was the spare bedroom beds. They were all wood and squeaked like a rickety floor all night. So bad we moved the mattress to the living room so our guests could actually sleep. Maintenance did their best trying to fix the issue but it's the design of the furniture. The parking isn't great but available. The good stuff: on the beach, walking distance to everything you need. I would stay again but not in this unit, unless they change the spare bedroom furniture. Laundry on each floor uses coins or app. Staff was helpful with everything and kind.

Capri by the Sea was a beautiful property located steps away from the beach. The unit was an end unit, so the views of San Diego and the city were endless. It was a very outdated unit, with a rusted refrigerator, stained bathtub and pretty gross lint vent that appeared as if were never cleaned out. The check-in instructions were also confusing, as there was a rep on site. When I tried to check in, the security guard informed me that the instructions were outdated. Overall, our experience was very positive and had everything we needed for our mini vacation.

The view was amazing. Had an end unit so could see all down the beach. Lots of entertainment watching the surfers and kite sailors. The property is a little dated but the owner is doing a good job remodeling room by room. We would come back!

The Bed That Told a Thousand Stories (and None Were Mine) Let me paint you a picture: I arrive at the hotel, weary from my travels, dreaming of a soft, clean bed to collapse into. What do I find? A treasure trove of “memories” from guests past. Imagine my surprise when I pull back the covers to discover not one, but *many* dirty used tissues delicately tucked in, as if the bed was thoughtfully prepared by a germophobe with a dark sense of humor. And oh, the body hair! A single strand would’ve been one thing, but this was a *family reunion* of hairs—like the bed had hosted a sleepover. To top it off, the sheets felt like they’d doubled as the local beach, sprinkled generously with a fine layer of sand. Nothing like exfoliating your skin while you sleep, am I right? The staff! let’s just say the staff took ‘relaxation’ to a whole new level… mostly their own. When I mentioned the room looked like it had been through a frat party—complete with mystery stains and a dust collection—the response I got was ‘oh, really’. A shrug. I guess I should be thankful they didn’t offer me a mop and say, ‘Well, you’re here for two nights, plenty of time to clean up!’ Five stars for their ability to stay calm in the face of filth. Would I recommend? Only if you’re doing research on bacteria."

Great location and outstanding view of the ocean. You can swim, surf, run or eat within 5 minutes of leaving the property. Great floor to ceiling windows and abundance of space inside. Parking on property easy and convenient. Front desk not always manned during published hours. Property can certainly benefit from better furniture, appliances and supplies.

Had problem trying to get extra towels, two of the three front desk people wasn’t to nice. I tried for two days for towels never did receive any. I think you need ceiling fans put in and it would be nice if the bathrooms had locks on them besides that you have a nice place, a little rough getting down to the beach, but it’s nice being able to see the ocean from the Condo

Felt like a prison. They didn’t restock the toilet paper and ran out on day 3. nobody at the front could give us any either. For the amount we spent and cleaning fees, the place was not clean and no toilet paper. Found a dirty sock under he bed and hair and dirt on the floors. I’m going to demand my cleaning fee be returned.

Loved everything about our condo. Location, condition. Downfall was that the pool was closed for our entire stay except for last day. Was one of our must haves on our lists. The other recommendation to add to items in condo would be broom and dustpan. If in area, will be back!

Stay was great. Just a few things didn't work. Coffee pot was broken they brought another one and it was also broken, wrong pot for the coffee pot. Coffee went everywhere. No iron in the room. Was not the room I booked online. Parking spaced a little small. We couldn't fit our truck in the space that was assigned. Had to park in back parking lot.

The location can’t be beat. Our unit had no heat or air conditioning except for space heaters. This was a problem in the back bedroom that had no room for a heater and had no sliding door to let the ocean breeze in. The blinds were broken, making sleep difficult if you need darkness. On our last night, I used the microwave which tripped a circuit for all the lights in the kitchen, dining area and living room.

The property is run down, not up to date, and dirty. The bathrooms have cracks. The mirrors have rusting, looks like blood stains. There are not enough blankets, you have to wash your own towels, and there was only one roll of paper towels and toilet paper. It’s totally uncomfortable. If I didn’t have to pay extra to fly home early I would leave now! VERY VERY disappointed! The only positive is the ocean view, however the beach is pretty but we don’t even have beach towel in unit to lay with! Horrible experience. DO NOT book here!

We have stayed at the Capri 4 times and love it. It's very quiet, which is great after long days walking the beaches of Pacific Beach. We much prefer staying here to staying in a hotel room.

Amazing view of the ocean, and right on the beach. very easy access to the beach. At least for the unit we stayed in it showed some wear and tear. Check in and out were easy, and the neighborhood had lots of options for restaurants and a grocery store near by.

The last day of our trip extremely loud construction sounds began due to a remodel in the unit above ours. There was no manager on site due to a holiday but the resort representative rudely stated there was nothing she could do and would not call her superior. The sounds continued all day. My husband had conference calls that he couldn’t join and we were forced to leave the unit to get away from the noise. A noise ordinance was very clearly posted and the penalty was a fine. There was no notice to me or discounted rate due to construction in the rental agreement. The experience left a bad taste after what would have otherwise been a nice trip.

Breathtaking views all around. Three or four sliding glass doors that when open bring in all the wonderful soothing beach sounds and fresh air. So many great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Full kitchen. Grocery store 3 blocks away. This is just a great location no matter where you have plans in San Diego. Parking provided. Can’t go wrong with this one. We didn’t want to leave. Loved our stay. Would love to book again here in the future.

Room is perfect for families. Two bedroom two bath. Grate view. It was dirty though. One of the sheets smelled horrible. Bring slippers because the floors were grimy. I would up cleaning them myself. We intended to cook, but couldn’t really. pots were put away half dirty. One had burned rice in it. The frying pan couldn’t be used because most of the Teflon had flaked away. The point of getting a full kitchen is to cook, but we couldn’t use that amenity. There were also only two beach towels. With thee beds, there should have been 4, so we had to go buy some. We go every year because we love the property and the area. I’d love to go back to that unit, but I’d have to bring my own equipment…

Cleanliness was the only issue, they could have done a better job. Depending on the room you choose its either going to be modern or a little outdated. I was stuck in between both. You can see they were doing updates but then there were items are just falling apart. However the great thing about it, depending on the room you choose, the view is breath taking. You are staying in a condo for the duration with bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, full kitchen, coined laundry machines on each floor, less than 2 min walk down to the beach. You will not be disappointed.

The stay was nice the view was amazing, it’s within walking distance of many great restaurants and shops however the property could use some repairs and updates and towels smelled musty. I know being on the ocean moisture can cause this issue so not a huge problem. The keys were not in the box after 4 when we arrived luckily there was a lady there that could help us but they are only there M-F until 5 so if you have any issues over the weekend good luck reaching anyone. The WiFi was super slow and all the streaming networks are locked so you can’t use them which is pretty weird but we were not there most of the day but that would’ve been nice to have in the evening

The direct beach access it the BEST part of this hotel. It's a quick walk down from the hotel and has a few chairs and umbrellas they loan you. BUT, our rooms were pretty disappointing. There were multiple cracked tiles in the bathrooms, outlets that didn't work (including the ONLY two in the master bath), broken screen door, really dim lighting, lightbulbs either burnt out or the outlet wasn't working (we weren't sure which it was), DIRTY kitchenware/dishes, kitchen garbage covered in dried food/debris...it was just gross. Beds & linens were clean. Carpets were pretty stained. I think for the price we paid, they would take care of the property a little bit more. Staff was not very friendly or helpful when asking questions. Definitely got the impression that they knew the beach was their selling point and the condition of the hotel wasn't a high priority. I plan to look elsewhere for our next vacation....this would be my last resort.
