Probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Amazing service and fantastic restaurant, close to everything!

The hotel is well situated, within walking distance of all the tourist attraction. However it is Not worth the price & a 4⭐️ at best. The hotel faces the water, which is nice. But the view from my room was the inside of an office building!!! The alley between the buildings was used for delivery very early in the morning. That plus the cafe downstairs was very noisy. Staff was a hit or miss. Some were very competent & nice. One man in particular was very pushy, looking for a tip. He also gave me wrong information & ignored my requests. The restaurant has very limited choices.

I have already recommended this hotel to family and friends. This was our experience and we all missed it as soon we had to leave Florence : - welcome you receive at the door (no standard check in desk- instead you give staff your passports and they do their magic while you and your family enjoy delicious drinks in a very elegant and comfortable waiting room) - the staff anticipating your needs (we are not good planners and they booked for us both attractions and train tickets; suggested and booked great restaurants) - easy interaction by text message - immediate responses - very warm and patient staff - beautiful rooms (you feel you just hired a coveted interior decorator who redid your home- that’s right - rooms do NOT feel generically hotel-y, instead it’s like you are in a ln elegant but comfortable home- plush couches and chairs.) - location- around the corner from all major tourist destinations, overlooking Ponte Vecchio but the entrance is much quieter. - will return and stay there every time we are in Florence

Excellent service and staff and room was really well appointed with good quality linen and bathroom products. Would definitely recommend it. Only slight issue was with breakfast where the service at times was slow and the food from the buffet was not especially inspiring but a minor grip which would not stop us from going back.

Great boutique hotel in an amazing location - can’t ask for better views of Ponte Vecchio - sitting outside for breakfast or a late afternoon Aperol watching people ambling by is magical - the view of the bridge from our 3rd floor suite was stunning

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in. The view of the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio from my hotel room were a wonderful memory.

The minute you walk through the door at Portrait you are taken care of and pampered. The room is exceptional in every way from the dishwasher to the toiletries. The staff is unsurpassed in their desire to please & serve you. This property is exceptional & I would rate it above the Four Seasons chain. Maybe only the One & Only chain exceeds it. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay memorable.

This property is unsurpassed in every way. The room with an amazing view was perfect and included anything a client would want from a flat iron to a checkin treat and drink. The staff catered to every need and request in a timely manner. There is nothing I would change. We will definitely return to the perfect hotel in the perfect location.

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff, wonderful restaurant on the premises and beautiful views of the river.

Upon arrival, our bags were whisked away and we were offered welcome drinks. It was mid afternoon and we were hungry, but many restaurants were closed. The staff quickly made a recommendation and called the restaurant to reserve a table for us. At night, a menu of different pillows were offered. Overall, the location was perfect. The room itself was clean though not overly spacious. The service was top-notch. Highly recommend if you’re willing to splurge a bit.

Everyone from the housekeeping services to the restaurant could not have been more welcoming. I had personal escorts walking me to different offsite locations (ATM, Salon, etc.) just to be just I made it. I will definitely be a return guest.

From the moment we arrived, we were looked after and made to feel like our stay really mattered to all of the excellent staff.After messaging the hotel in advance through the Expedia app to ask about car parking, they met us at the hotel entrance and parked the car for us in a local garage.The hotel is situated overlooking the Ponte Vechio bridge, which is one of the finest views in Florence. The architecture is unspoilt and you feel like you are immediately transported to the Renaissance period. Inside the hotel, the design is Sophisticated with a meticulous attention to detail. We’re here in the middle of Covid and the place is spotlessly clean. Masks are worn inside the communal places and hand sanitizers are positioned discreetly for our use.As it’s an Expedia VIP hotel, we received both a bottle of Prosecco and also a room upgrade. The upgrade probably due to less demand during covid. ( the hotel is usually sold out in the high season. )We’re staying with 3 children and all the staff have been excellent with them. Especially Francesco and Carolina who looked after us on arrival.A visit to the Uffizi galllery was made easier, by the hotel, as they arranged for ‘skip the line’ tickets. Massively appreciated in the heat of the day. The rooms overlooking the Ponte Vechio round off what has been a fantastic visit. When we come back to Florence, we’ll be booking the Portrait hotel again for sure!

amazing staff.design of the room is weird specially bathroom levels and shower space, elevators are very slow and the one that gets to the room I got is a service elevator which made it annoyingly late every time I needed to use it.

Great location, right in the middle of things in Florence. Room technology was impressive. Was able to stream my tidal music right into the house speakers in the room. Really cool. What was most impressive was the team members that helped us have a great time. This will be our new hotel of choice when we visit Florence again.
