A refined heritage hotel overlooking Lake Pichola with beautiful views of the Lake Palace. The property has a calm, dignified atmosphere with authentic old-world charm. Rooms are spacious and elegant, and sitting by the window with a cup of tea watching the lake was a highlight of the stay.
Service was warm, attentive, and true to Taj’s reputation. This is understated luxury rather than flashy — ideal for travellers who appreciate heritage, tranquillity, and timeless elegance. A memorable and graceful stay in Udaipur.

This is an absolutely gorgeous location on the water and the staff and hospitality is superb! Bed was also very comfortable! My only complaint is that the hotel very seriously needs to upgrade its electrical outlets and furniture.

If you are looking for somewhere special to stay is Udaipur then this is it. Everything is brilliant and you get early access to the Palace Museum grounds so you can get in early and take pictures on your own. Food at the restaurant was great, both Indian and Asian styles. One starter is large enough for two people,. We would stay again.
