The ocean was not visible from our room, but the 11th fairway of the Kona Country Club was. We did visit the pool that was by the ocean and it was wonderful! We enjoyed the waves crashing on the rocks and spraying us with ocean spray. Every staff member was friendly, informed and helpful!

Like: Large/spacious condo. good snorkeling bay nearby, 3 pools, ocean view, covered parking. pickle ball. well kept property and grounds. Most stuff was labeled in condo. Cable and internet TV. Gated community for security. Dislike: have to pay extra for A/C, but good window ventilation, so we didn't quite need it in August except one night. Some tricks w/ TV/remotes, TV didn't work in twin bedroom. Pools had concession/drink stands but those weren't open to get a complete resort feel. Vending machine not working at garden pool. Water fountain not working at garden pool. Pickle ball racquets broken/worn out. Takes a while for hot water in master shower.

Fantastic stay, but AC charge was a head-scratcher The vacation condo rental was wonderful in almost every way. The location was perfect, offering stunning views and easy access to local attractions. The unit was spotless and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable feeling upon arrival. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. However, an extra charge for using the air conditioning was a surprise. While utility costs can be high, it felt like a hidden fee, even though it was mentioned in the listing. Most rentals include air conditioning in the overall price. It is a key part of ensuring comfort, particularly during hot months, and can significantly impact the guest experience. It is hoped that future guests won't encounter this additional cost. Despite this, the condo was exceptional, and it is highly recommended for a comfortable stay.

Property is a little dated. The kitchen and bath were overrun with gnats when we arrived but once we got rid of them no more arrived during our stay. Security for the complex was great. The Condo was quiet and had a great location. Cleaning could be improved, there was quite a bit of hair in the bathrooms and someone else's clothes in the drawers.

The location was great, close to Kona and beaches as well as grocery and dining. The property was maintained and easy to get around. We didn't get A/C and were ok with windows open the drawback is you do hear a lot of the comings and goings from other units. We would definitely stay here again!

This was sour 3rd time staying at this property. We love it here. It’s spacious, clean, quiet, tranquil, and great for families. We’ve enjoyed all the beautiful sunsets from our oceanfront condo. We look forward to coming back.

The ocean front condo was excellent. It was clean with all you would need to live as there as long as you wanted. We appreciated the two rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom, the washer/dryer and detergent. Thanks for the cooking oil. However, this is the first condo in Hawaii (15 trips) that did have salt and pepper available for the first day. Most have had a one day supply of coffee but this was not a problem for us since we arrived while the nearby ITA was still open. The smoke alarm was beeping when we walked in. Kanaloa maintenance came in and temporarily removed the alarm. The battery was never replaced. We had no central area smoke alarm for the stay. I am not quite sure that is legal. It should not be. This property is beginning to show its age. Also, the bidet water supply was permanently disabled. It should be fixed or removed. However, even though minor things were wrong, we enjoyed our stay at the ocean front condo with a loft.

Property itself was very nice but the unit was older and was in need of some updates and repairs; cupboard doors did not close properly, stains and tears on sectional, ice maker broken on fridge etc… Also found nail clippings on the bathroom floor. Minor things, the pools and grounds were very nice though and we spent more time outside anyways.

Loved that we were in front of the ocean, and that there was a pool. Check-in was terrible, we came in late and thought we were never going to get access to our condo. We had to drive 15 minutes away to get a code to get in. Ridiculous. After getting access to the suite, lamps and lights did not work, shower head didn't work, rust and dust everywhere, bugs everywhere in the kitchen, and if you had anything to eat they would find you. No kettle. Broken iron. Will not be staying here again!

The landscaping is wonderful and a peaceful property. Our unit was clean, but out-dated, the shower was newly renovated and very nice. Nonetheless, it had two lanai's, which were great. The ceiling fans were quite old and the one in the living room was very loud and the washing machine was extremely loud. Also, the toilet was very low with an oval seat. What wasn't good was finding out 24 hours before our arrival that air-conditioning is available for a fee, which is $20.00 plus tax per day. I understand the need to offset the electrical cost as we lived on the Big Island for several years, ten dollars would be more appropriate. Staff was absolutely wonderful and helpful, the three pools were beautiful.

The condo has basic amenities but very old and needs updating especially on beddings, towels and utensils. Closets need to be more neat and organized. There is a stain on the carpet in the bedroom. Exterior maintenance is perfect.

This is a beautiful property and great for families. We weren't at the Condo much, but it did have everything we needed. They also have 3 pools and one that looks over the ocean. There is also a pool strictly for Adults Only, which helped relieve worry while at the "other" pools with the kids. What bothered me most was that when we checked in at their sister resort down the street we were advised that if we wanted to use the AC we had to pay. If we used it ONE TIME we had to pay for the entire stay. You can't just use it one day. This was an unplanned expense that we didn't expect so be aware!

This was a great property. The grounds and condo were beautiful. Small amount of beach stuff to use. Washer and dryer came in handy. It would have been nice to have some tupperware or foil in the kitchen. The walls are thin and we could hear every step made upstairs. There is a nice quiet bay within walking distance.

We had a great, relaxing time while we were there. 3 pools along with 3 free BBQ grills to use. Next to the ocean and a golf course. We didn't need air conditioning since the trade winds either from over the mountains or the ocean keep the condo cool day and night. We will return again and request to stay at Kanaloa at Kona by OUTRIGGER again.

This property was well past my expectations in a good way. Very peaceful and welcoming. You can walk to the shopping center and other beach front resorts with ease. Be prepared to have some type of vehicle whether it’s car, scooter, electric bike etc since most of the attractions are far from this location.
