Hilton Chicago/Magnificent Mile Suites

I am a frequent business traveler, and I have never left a negative hotel review before. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst service I have experienced at a hotel. The location is excellent and the room layout is good, but the rooms are surprisingly dark, even on the higher floors. I specifically paid to upgrade to a quiet lake-view room because I needed to work and prepare presentations for a conference. Instead, I was given a room with loud, continuous mechanical noise from the pool/chiller equipment above, day and night. Most disturbing, a staff member later told me that the hotel had known about this noise problem for about two months—despite my having explicitly requested a quiet room. I had to explain the situation repeatedly to different staff members. Nobody came to inspect the room after promising to do so. I was eventually offered earplugs, and one staff member even told me that if I kept complaining, I could be moved to another hotel with a penalty fee. The noise never stopped and actually became worse, forcing me to work outside the hotel for the remainder of my stay. To top it off, despite the manager agreeing to waive the entire upgrade charge, part of it appeared again on my bill at checkout. Housekeeping was also unreliable: one day my room was still not cleaned when I returned around 6 PM, despite having left the room-cleaning request outside. I was initially told that all housekeeping staff had already left and that nothing could be done. Only after I insisted and spoke with the housekeeping manager was someone eventually sent to clean the room. The lake view was beautiful, but nothing can compensate for this level of noise and, above all, the way I was treated. This is the first negative hotel review I have ever written. I would never stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.

Had a lovely stay as a family! Was really impressed with the rooms very spacious had a little kitchen area lounge and seperate bedroom and bathroom! Close to everything with a great cafe downstairs on site with a great coffee!

Great Hitel with great location but no AC till end of April

Older building . Carpets beeds upgrading. AC was bad in the ballroom !
