after a long day walking it was a very long walk up hill all the way to the edge ot town. also one room had a shared bathroom which we had not expected no facilities to make a breakfast and no shop near,

The place is in a remote location, 30 min from teatro del silenzio, the bed is comfortable, the room was clean and nicely furnished.

There is a shared bathroom, which was not mentioned in the description, the room is poorly sound insulated and I heard everything that was going on in the bathroom.

Very good

Quiet and comfortable, Casa Vecchia is a 15-20 min uphill walk from the centre of town. The rooms were large and comfortable and the decor is best described as individual. At the end of a long day of walking it met our needs. An excellent local restaurant (Osteria La Montagnola) is 10 mins away and highly recommended

The property was lovely but a bit further out of town than we realised when booking . we did not realise it was a shared

the room was very spacious and clean . The hostess was very accommodating.

We had to share a bathroom and the only mirror was in the bathroom . There was no space to hang out towels in our bedroom .

It is quite far to walk from the center of town. I was walking Via Francigena and didn't want to walk 15 minutes to the town center.

Effectively no breakfast. Long climb from town and via Francigena (1.2ks), the host was unhelpful and not really available. We also think the the sheets had not been changed on the bed.

Una notte a Gambassi

La struttura rustica/antica è bella, il luogo è silenzioso, il letto largo e comodo. C'è il check-in automatico per cui massima libertà ed autonomia.

Quando ho fatto la ricerca su Booking avevo messo come filtri bagno in camera e colazione. Quando ho prenotato non mi sono accorta che invece questi filtri erano stati ignorati ma successivamente ho letto in altre recensioni lo stesso problema. Nella descrizione della camera non è chiaro che il bagno è condiviso, poi rileggendo ho notato che in grande è evidenziato il letto large mentre solo se apri la tendina dei servizi, e solo in inglese, c'è scritto che il bagno è condiviso. Tutte le altre informazioni sono chiare e in italiano, questa è quasi nascosta. Per me è fatto apposta per trarre in inganno! Inoltre nelle suddette descrizioni c'è scritto che è presente un bollitore che non c'è, nell'area comune (praticamente in corridoio) c'è la macchina per il caffè con cialde e un piccolo frigorifero vuoto. C'è anche scritto che è a disposizione un accappatoio che non c'era, c'era un telo e un asciugamano per il bidet, mancava quindi quello delle mani. In bagno c'è una vasca, servirebbe almeno una tenda per evitare di schizzare tutto con la doccia, tanto più che il bagno è condiviso e servirebbe anche un tappetino per quando esci dalla vasca. La mattina i riscaldamenti erano spenti seppur in bagno c'era un caldobagno però dopo la doccia devi attraversare il corridoio per andare in camera. Il phon è quello piccolo a parete moscio moscio, con il bagno condiviso se mi fossi voluta asciugare i capelli lì gli altri avrebbe dovuto aspettare molto a lungo. Nella descrizione dei servizi c'è anche scritto che ci sono le prese della corrente ai lati del letto ma c'è solo da una parte. Il parcheggio c'era ma all'esterno, quindi non protetto e infine, per noi non é un problema ma credo vada segnalato che per accedere c'è una scala senza ascensore. La posizione pure non è eccezionale, per poter fare colazione abbiamo dovuto percorre un km.

Super punto para parar en la Toscana, recomiendo.

Nuestra experiencia en Casa Vecchia fue excelente. Es un lugar muy tranquilo, ideal para quienes buscan descansar y hacer base en la Toscana para recorrer la zona con auto. El entorno es hermoso, silencioso y rodeado de naturaleza, perfecto para desconectar y disfrutar del paisaje típico toscano. El alojamiento está muy bien cuidado, limpio y cómodo. Todo funcionaba correctamente y se nota el esmero en los detalles. Es un lugar ideal para pasar una o dos noches, especialmente si se está recorriendo la región y se busca un punto estratégico para descansar entre trayectos. El servicio fue impecable. El check-in fue autónomo, claro y muy sencillo, lo que facilita mucho la llegada. Además, la anfitriona estuvo siempre en contacto con nosotros, atenta y disponible para cualquier consulta, lo cual se agradece muchísimo y transmite mucha tranquilidad. Otro punto a destacar es la calma del lugar: se duerme muy bien y el ambiente invita realmente al descanso. Recomendamos tener en cuenta que es un alojamiento pensado para moverse en auto, lo cual para nosotros fue ideal para recorrer la zona con total libertad. En resumen, Casa Vecchia es una opción excelente para quienes buscan un lugar auténtico, tranquilo y bien atendido en la Toscana. Nos llevamos una muy buena experiencia y lo recomendamos sin dudar. ¡Muchas gracias por la atención y la hospitalidad!

El único punto a considerar es la ubicación. El lugar está bastante alejado de restaurantes, bares o supermercados. Al menos durante nuestra estadía, no encontramos nada abierto cerca para comer o comprar provisiones, por lo que es fundamental contar con auto y llegar con todo lo necesario. No lo vemos como algo negativo en sí mismo, sino como una característica del lugar: es ideal para quienes buscan tranquilidad y silencio, pero no tanto para quienes prefieren tener opciones a pocos pasos.

Ottima come base per trascorrere una settimana di relax e visita dei dintorni.

Camera accogliente e spaziosa. Tranquillità del luogo

La camera era fredda e non si poteva ancora accendere il riscaldamento. Non erano presenti coperte supplementari. La doccia è inserita nella vasca idromassaggio e quindi scomoda. Mancava salvietta per il viso e un bicchiere per sciacquarsi la bocca dopo essersi lavati i denti.

La persona di riferimento è stata gentilissima e molto disponibile, check-in e check-out flessibili, cassettine di sicurezza per il check in molto comode, camera carina e confortevole a poca distanza dal centro, parcheggio disponibile. Posto silenzioso e tranquillo. Ottimo prezzo.

Bagno in comune (ma è colpa mia che non lo avevo letto quando ho prenotato). Macchinetta del caffè a disposizione ma senza bicchierini. Niente aria condizionata nel weekend più caldo dell' anno mi è un po' dispiaciuto ma anche questo è colpa mia che non avevo letto. Materasso un po' "scivoloso" e lenzuola corte....il letto non rimane fermo e a me dà un po' fastidio...ma niente di grave.

Letto comodo, contesto della struttura molto tranquillo. Padrona di casa super gentile, molto disponibile.

Arredo da rivedere, posizione un po’ fuori dal centro di Gambassi, ma comunque fattibile anche a piedi (a fatica anche per chi come noi arrivava dalla via Francigena).
