A good stay, but problematic.

Location, comfortable.

Too much furniture and clutter. We couldn’t use the balcony it was so full of plants. The big storage unit in the bathroom is unnecessary and made it congested. All the old tourist information dating back to 2022 could be cleared. Very narrow treads on the staircase were dangerous, the evacuation plan applied to a different property, the external door downstairs had to be unlocked from the inside with a key. I was especially bothered that the property did not adhere to the booking.com policy of charging the stored card. They insisted I paid a deposit to the owners bank account, and the balance in cash on arrival. I use booking.com precisely so I don’t have to carry cash.

A really lovely time in Sibernik.

It was incredibly peaceful in a busy part of the old city. We loved going out and exploring bars and restaurants. Ana was really kind and helpful.

With the very warm weather we had some difficulty getting to terms with the air-conditioning.

We feel very lucky that we managed to book this accommodation only a week prior to our arrival.

The property is in an excellent location - a short walk from the main coach station, the old town is on the doorstep and the beach with its picturesque views of Sibenik's historic hillside is also very easily accessible. Our host met us at the property upon our arrival and as our downstairs neighbour, one evening she brought up a candle when the lights temporarily went out in the vicinity and another evening a selection of homemade red currant and poppy seed sponge cakes. The views from the flat are truly authentic with two church bells from the kitchen window and stone houses with their green shutters along the old street from the bedroom and the little balcony.

There are a few stairs to climb to reach the top floor, so bear that in mind, if you have a lot to carry, or can be easily distracted by a Croatian library on the way down. There is a selection of books in the hallway as the stairs turn and you can easily lose your balance, if you stare at the Agatha Christie titles instead of the stairs... More of a positive, still. :-)

Exceptional

Everything was great! Host Ana is very nice, sweet person. Every Sunday She brings some sweets to the guests. If U need a loundry, she will do for U. The apartament is in the middle of Old Town. Downstairs is a little restaurant and U can listen butyfull life croatian music every night.
