    I had a wonderful stay here. At first, I was a little worried that the room might look different from the photos because the price was very affordable. So I checked the Google reviews beforehand, and the ratings were really good, which convinced me to book. I’m glad I did because the place did not disappoint at all. The room looked exactly like the photos, everything was very clean, and the bathroom was bigger than I expected. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They mentioned that the rooms on the second floor are quieter, but since my luggage was very heavy and I couldn’t carry it upstairs myself, the staff kindly helped me bring it up. They also helped carry it down again during check-out, which I really appreciated. If I had to mention one small downside, it would be that there were a few mosquitoes in my room, so I’d recommend bringing or using mosquito repellent during your stay.

    Fairly simple older style room with good size in a quiet location. Food options near. Bed reasonably comfortable, shower room OK, cold water sink. Clean and adequate. No tea or coffee and foyer could do with tidying but overall good value and very acceptable.

    I recommend this property to all solo travelers, it is good price for what you get, amazing. Lady on the reception was so nice a helpful. It is really close to the city centre and all main attractions.

    Hillda House is on a quiet street near the northwest corner of old town. We chose it because it looked like it would be quieter than a lot of other places and that proved to be true. There is a café with good coffee and breakfast including eggs any style right around the corner. It is easy walking to several temples including Wat Phra Kiew. If you want to get to Thapae Gate you can get a Grab for 100 baht. Otherwise, we walked there one day in about 40 minutes. Wifi worked OK. There is a construction project in the next lot, but the workers don't start super early and unless you are hanging around at the hotel all day it isn't a problem. The room was clean, and there is drinking water to fill your water bottle in the lobby. One note: if you sit on the couch in the lobby the mosquitos come out from under it and have a field day. We booked a transfer to Pai at a very reasonable rate through the front desk. We will stay there again on our way out from Chiang Mai.
