The Common Hostel

Location is very convenient. Nearby 7/11. Clean and comfy bed. They have washing machine downstairs. Free breakfast.

What I don't like is the check in process/mostly the staff. You don't really feel welcomed, if you arrived 1.30pm, they still won't check you in despite the room being available. You have to wait 2pm. lol

Nice, modern building. Good location to explore the old town, 7/11 and multiple restaurants, cafes and massage places close. Beds are comfortable and spacious. On the bottom bed you have huge locker for your stuff. Top bed had two smaller lockers. They have washer and dryer for doing your laundry and have multiple drying racks on the balcony. Free water and coffee all day. Breakfast was okey: toast w butter and jam, boiled eggs, few fruits and warm asian dish. 200baht deposit for the towel. Staff were nice and helpful, you can book a lot of excursions from them. TV and ping pong table at the common area. ATM at the front of the building.

I stayed on the third floor but the bathroom was on the second floor. To me it was fine, just a little inconvenient at times. Like many places in SEA they don’t have AC on the common areas and bathrooms, did have some fans. They turn the AC off the dorm during the day (11-15 or something like that) but it’s the norm around there.

The toilet had a bidet! Breakfast was simple and nice. The location is nice as it's within walking distance of some good restaurants and shops. Plus, the Fern cafe, which is amazing, is right beside it.

The breakfast could use some more protein. Sometimes, the dishes weren't properly cleaned. This is on the travelers, though. Wish there were foosball or other activities in the common area. I don't do table tennis.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly.

The rooms were not very sound proof and it was really loud at night from the other guests.
