The Common Hostel

The toilet had a bidet! Breakfast was simple and nice. The location is nice as it's within walking distance of some good restaurants and shops. Plus, the Fern cafe, which is amazing, is right beside it.

The breakfast could use some more protein. Sometimes, the dishes weren't properly cleaned. This is on the travelers, though. Wish there were foosball or other activities in the common area. I don't do table tennis.

A spotless hostel

Not so much a dislike, as a solo traveller I noticed more nomads staying in this hostel. Its a great space but the social side is lacking if that is what you are looking for

The Nan bathroom in downstairs

The room was small but comfortable enough for a short stay. The common area is very large, although the hostel doesn't organise any group activities or events.

The bed was sagging in sections, which was fine for me as I was alone so I could sleep in the middle of the bed. The light from the bathroom window is very bright - it streams through the opaque bathroom door and fully lights up the bedroom in the morning. I could barely sleep due to the brightness coming in from dawn each day, especially with the constant blender noises from the restaurant next door and eventually had to buy a sleep mask just so I could sleep. The hostel is also in a quite area of the Old Town - I would stay near the East Gate next time. For a similar price I could stay in a MUCH more comfortable hotel instead considering there wasn't a very social element anyway.
