    The location is nice for the stay. Has basic ameneties. A bit old in infra but does the job. Is near to the old town in Phuket.

    Simple three floor hotel with spacious room and balcony. Staff is friendly. The place have plenty of parking, good choice for those driving. Overall worth the price and I have a pleasant stay.

    Quick review. 1. No lifts and no-one to help with bags. Rooms start on second floor so if you have heavy bags, you will have to carry them up at least two flights of stairs. 2. First room we were shown had a very noisy aircon unit. Was supposed to have a 'Mountain View' but actually had a 'Wall of Next Door View'. We refused it. 3. Second room was bigger and had a view over the car parking area. Shower wasn't hot. They 'fixed it' only for it cutting off again mid-shower. On second attempt to 'fix' it, they showed us where the electric box was and showed us where the shower switch kept flicking off. I.e. if we wanted a hot shower, we were expected to keep resetting the electric switch whilst standing on a chair. Nice. Even after this switch was held on, the hot water didn't work. We gave up and had cold showers. 4. After an afternoon nap, we wanted to get ready to go out. Went into the bathroom to find that the water had been turned off. When informing the staff that we had no water, they just said that the pump was being replaced. When asked why we had no warning of this, they just said rather weakly that "they just turned up". When we asked how long the water would be turned off for, they said they didn't know. 5. Our relative in a different room informed the staff that her toilet was blocked. The staff 'fixed' it, but it block again on next use. Of course, we checked out the next morning and whilst they were mildly apologetic, it did not feel at all sincere. I have lived and travelled in Thailand for over 20 years now and I can that this is what is known as a Thai hotel. It is not to a 'farang' standard at all. You can get much better for the same price very near by, a place that is more 'farang' friendly. I can only imagine that this hotel's Agoda rating of 8.0 has come from Thais. Avoid avoid avoid. Awful.
