Had a decent pleasant stay at Chalong Chalet on July 2026 during my university summer break. Rooms are large and spacious. The toilet is also big with two sliding corner doors. Rooms are very clean. Hotel staff are friendly. Receptionists are extremely helpful and amazing. Other than that, there is a guy called Boss who will bring you to your room using a resort buggy, and come pick your luggage and bring you back to reception when you check out. However, I noticed that he was exceptionally friendly when I just checked in, but didn't say anything as if he just wanted me gone when I checked out, though that may have been my fault as I was taking my own sweet time to leave the room. In terms of breakfast, there are only two fixed options, but there is additional bread and fruit you can take. There are two swimming pools, one is shown in the advertisement and the other is not shown. The long pool access from the 1st level rooms sometimes have bugs on top, but they will be cleaned eventually. There is a small gym with a limited variety of equipment, and equipment is old, some rusty. There are only wall fans, no air-conditioning. There is also a muay thai gym not affiliated to the hotel, but it does not seem friendly to beginners who just want to try a bit of muay thai. Location wise, resort is located next to a steep sloped road where ride hailing drivers can easily come and pick you up or drop you off. However, because resort is located inland, you need to take Grab to go everywhere. I recommend taking Grab motorcycle as they are cheap, and Grab car only when you need to do shopping. Although, the hotel has hired drivers to actually chauffeur you to nearby places within roughly 2km radius for free. Further than that, just take Grab, don't take their service.

Went here in the off season, too many lizards in side the room and outside on the property. But the location is too good

The room was spacious and clean, with attentive housekeeping. Slept well, peaceful and quiet stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Some facilities were limited such as the breakfast and fitness gym. The location was average, 15 to 20 minute walk to shops and cafes.
