    The hotel is pleasant. Breakfast was disappointing to be honest it wasn't the best, the staff were lovely though. The road in between the main hotel and main pool/beach is ok, but it makes the main hotel feel a bit soulless and the main restaurant being by the beach means there's no central hub in the main hotel with a bar or area! It's also extortionately priced for food and drink. Do t mind a premium for the hotel but when things are 4 times the price of other bars it's a bit extreme! The rooms are nice but a little tired! The walls are paper thin and you can heat everything next door so take ear plugs! Overall a descent hotel but you do get what you pay for! If your expecting higher end and pay the little extra 😁

    We booked Outrigger Koh Samui as a family vacation expecting a seamless resort experience, but our stay was marred by serious maintenance failures, hygiene issues, and zero emergency support from management. Here are the main reasons why this property did not deliver on basic expectations: - Main Pool Closed Long-Term: One of the primary reasons we chose this resort was for its pool facilities. To arrive and discover the main pool had been closed for months for maintenance - without adequate prior notice before booking - was hugely disappointing. - Algae-Green Pool & Child Ear Infection: The remaining open pool was visibly filthy, with murky green water. My child ended up contracting an ear infection from swimming in it. - Refused Basic Medicine at 1:00 AM: When my child was running a fever in pain at 1:00 AM, I went to the front desk desperately asking for children’s paracetamol (Panadol). Management flatly refused, stating their policy is they only provide medication to guests "explicitly injured on the property." I was forced to leave my family and walk down in the middle of the night. For a self-proclaimed family resort, this lack of basic empathy and guest duty of care is shocking. - Broken Air Conditioning with Small Children: The air conditioning completely died in our room for an the first night. We had to endure oppressive tropical heat with two young kids. Reception’s only solution was dropping off a standing fan, which did practically nothing. Sleeping was impossible. - Dangerous Divided Property Layout: This is a big one! Having the resort physically split in two by a very busy public road is far more stressful than advertised. Constantly shuttling young children, prams, and pool gear across active traffic multiple times a day is exhausting. While security guards are posted to assist, darting across a busy road should not be part of a relaxing holiday. Between the hygiene hazards, broken amenities, and rigid, unhelpful service during a late-night medical issue with a child, we cannot recommend this resort to families.
