Our stay at Wyndham Suites KLCC was absolutely disgusting. We were completely catfished and completely blindsided by the difference between how this property presents itself online and what we actually experienced when we arrived. The room had a horrible sewage and mould smell. The air-conditioning units were outdated, barely cooled the room and gave off an awful smell themselves. There were no mattress toppers available, and the overall condition of the room and facilities felt old, dirty and poorly maintained. Even basic things like towels seemed to be heavily restricted. Some of the bathrooms didn't even have towels available. For somewhere presenting itself as a luxury property, this is ridiculous. The gym was absolutely atrocious. Filthy machines, dirty walls and an overall level of cleanliness that was honestly disgusting. Calling these facilities five-star is laughable. Based on what we experienced, I wouldn't even call them one-star. The pool experience wasn't much better. Everything seemed unnecessarily regulated. You're allowed to order food from the pool area, but apparently you're not allowed to actually eat it anywhere near the pool. Instead of creating a relaxing environment for guests, it felt like there was a rule or restriction for everything. Then there was the so-called room service. There was no phone in the room, no proper menu and no assistance with ordering. We were eventually given a phone number to call for room service, but nobody answered. What's the point of advertising room service if guests can't actually order anything? But what really summed up the entire experience was checkout. After everything we'd experienced, I was actually waiting for someone to ask, "How was your stay?" because I wanted the opportunity to give them honest feedback directly. Nobody asked. They simply took the keys, said thank you, and that was it. There appeared to be absolutely no interest whatsoever in whether we'd enjoyed our stay or whether there had been any problems. That tells you everything. We left feeling that they simply did not care about the guest experience. We were completely catfished by this property. Sewage and mould smells, terrible air-conditioning, dirty and outdated facilities, an atrocious gym, restricted towels, ridiculous pool rules and virtually nonexistent service. This is absolutely not a five-star experience. Not even close. One of the worst hotel experiences we've had, and I would not recommend Wyndham Suites KLCC based on our stay.
