    The hotel is near the kyoto station east entrance. This is a quieter area than the opposite side (central entrance) of the station, so you may need to walk a distance inside the station to reach the main entrance, but it is not a big deal. The room and staff are great

    A good hotel a grade higher than the generic business hotel chains. Lovely staff, rooms are ok sized. Have stayed before, would recommend. Also very very close to kyoto station, the main hub.

    I stayed at Hotel The M's Kyoto and had a mixed experience. The positives were that the hotel is conveniently located close to the train station and bus stops, making it easy to get around Kyoto. The room was decent in size, the bed was comfortable, and both the room and bathroom were clean and satisfactory for our stay. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff after check-out left a very negative impression. During check-in, the service was fine, but once we had checked out, it felt like we were no longer treated as valued guests. The staff's tone towards us was surprisingly rude and dismissive. I understand that hotel policies may not allow certain requests after check-out, but a more courteous response or suggesting alternatives would have made a big difference. Instead of simply saying "no," it would have been appreciated if they had shown a bit more hospitality. Overall, the hotel itself is comfortable enough and the location is convenient, but the disappointing customer service after check-out significantly affected my overall impression.
