    It would be perfect if not because of their roof renovation work as early as 7 or 8am have loud knocking from the roof until afternoon.

    After we left for the airport, they found my Ipad in our room and got the driver to bring it all the way to the airport. Breakfast was great. Close enough to walk into town or catch a tutt tutt for a dollar. Pool was refreshing after a hot day out.

    I booked this hotel for a last minute birthday trip. I honestly thought I found the perfect place after reading reviews, but I was underwhelmed upon arrival. The first challenge I had was the lack of response from the property when trying to arrange a paid airport shuttle. I emailed the property directly and then through the booking agency with no response. I was stressed because my flight was delayed and I missed the last bus. When I contacted the property via whatsapp, I received a prompt reply and made the shuttle arrangements. The delayed response caused additional stress, but I am very thankful they helped with transport (eventually). The first room I stayed in had my name written out in palm leaves on the bed. It was a nice gesture, but when I got into bed, the sheets had male chest hair on them which made me question if they were clean. The hot water also didn't work which was frustrating. My booking had me switch rooms during my stay. The next room was much cleaner and the staff moved my belongings to it since I was on a tour during the day. That was kind of them. However, this room also didn't have hot water. On the third day of my stay I asked the front desk if the hot water was working and they came to my room to check. It wasn't, and they offered to call maintenance. The next day the hot water started working...which was a blessing. The beds are quite firm and the pillows are pretty awful-they had no support and I woke up with a stiff neck. I had breakfast at the restaurant twice. There were no prices on the menu and I asked if the food was included in my room. I was told it was, but then got a bill for it during checkout which was a little surprising. The food wasn't great and for anyone staying, I recommend going a street over to try one of the local establishments...the food I had there was half the price and fantastic. If you're looking for a place to sleep near the city, this place will work. I didn't find it exceptional like the reviews led me to believe. The property definitely needs some updating and it looks like they were making some improvements to the public spaces during my stay. I didn't care for the fact that the staff was on their phones most times I walked into the lobby. I didn't get a welcome drink and snack like other guests got. I did appreciate how the staff offered return transit to the airport and helped with booking the public bus. Overall, the stay was fine but I can't say I'd return.
