    We were a group of 4 girlfriends and booked a bigger room for 4 people staying for 3 nights. One of the most beautiful rooms we have ever have! A beautiful mixed between modern and old design! Our room included a washer/dryer which was amazing! Dining area and a small kitchen with stove, sink, pots and pans. In the basement floor was the shower room and private onsen, this is incredible! Definitely recommend this hotel as the location was within walking distance (5-10 minutes on foot) to the shopping street leading down to the Yasaka shrine and station! We will definitely be back!

    Lovely hotel. Room is big with a separate seating area and there is a washer dryer in the bathroom so we have managed to clean our dirty washing. Beds comfy. All facilities thought of. No breakfast served but lots of cafes around the area. Would recommend.

    The room is big & spacious. There’s washing machine & works really really well. My clothes were dry ( even those in jeans ) . The tatami area was amazing to give off the Japan home vibes. Not far walk to the subway. 9 mins walk to one halal ramen nearby. I love it so much !! There is no microwave though.

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood yet conveniently close to all the major attractions, this hotel offers the perfect balance of accessibility and tranquility. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. They were attentive, friendly, and always willing to offer recommendations or assist with any needs, making us feel right at home. The rooms at Hotel Shikisai (we stayed in the Higashiyama Room ) are a blend of traditional Japanese aesthetics and modern comfort. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated with tatami mats and shoji screens, creating a serene and authentic atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring.
