Hotel Livemax Osaka Hommachi

The hotel is conveniently located near several subway entrances and exits, although it still requires about a 7-minute walk, which I personally found a bit farther than I would have preferred. The room is compact, as expected in Japan, but it has all the essential amenities. One feature I especially appreciated was the in-room microwave—it was incredibly convenient and something I don’t often find in hotel rooms. The air conditioning also worked exceptionally well, which was a huge plus since we visited during the summer. After spending the day outdoors in the heat, it was always nice to come back to a cool and comfortable room. My biggest disappointment was that the hotel does not offer luggage storage after check-out. This was the first time I’ve encountered this, despite staying at many hotels throughout Japan and in other countries. Having the option to leave luggage for a few hours is a service I’ve always found standard and extremely helpful for travelers with later flights. I hope the hotel considers adding this service in the future, as it would greatly improve the overall guest experience. Overall, I had a comfortable stay, and with the addition of post-checkout luggage storage, the experience would have been even better.

Unlike the google reviews, I found the hotel stay to be a pleasant one. It could be that they took the reviews into consideration, but my experience was good. The staff were professional and courteous, the room was clean, and the hotel was so conveniently located. It is a mere 2-3 mins walk to the tip of the Shinsaibashi shopping district, and 5 mins walk to either Hommachi or Sakaisuji-Hommachi Stations.

I didn’t realize that the rooms allow smoking inside. The room was very smelly and there were a lot of stains on the floors and walls. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone sensitive to smells.
