    Kind of knew that the room may smell and lighting is dim through the reviews I have read. Hence very much prepared for this trip. Not dust free but feels cozy for a single room with a double size bed, good for large size people too. Smell comes from bathroom shower curtain so prepared a scented alcohol sanitiser to reduce the smell. It is a non-smoking room and I didn't experience smoking smell in the room like some others but corridor did have strong cigarettes smell but it don't affect the room. Light is deem as all are warm light and they are old fixtures so recommended to bring own portable light if you like proper lighting. Hot water shower and WC are working perfectly, one of my most enjoyable moment after a long day walking around. Despite it looks old and may appear unclean, but the more you stay , the more it feels cozy. I recommend for those who look for best priced hotel.

    The room itself is small but a solo travel is okay. I got shocked on the last day when the check out timing is 12 pm and the cleaner tried to open my room at 11 am. FYI, when you reach ikebukuro station head to west exit (central) and exit from C9 (lift) and once you exit turn to your right and go straight for about 10 min and you will reach the hotel. It is right beside domino pizza store. If you’re looking for a drug store, it’s just further up from the hotel which is big and tax free (I recommend it as there’s a lot of selection)
