    Excellent small hotel with lovely helpful staff. Especially loved the welcome bar in the afternoon was a particularly lovely way to connect and relax in the lobby. Proximity to the station was fantastic. Value for money top marks

    We stayed here for 2 nights. Originally, we had a problem with the room, but were able to get another room no problem thanks to the accomodating and professional staff. I would be willing to bet that this is one of the best hotels in the area--it is exceptionally maintained and the facilities are still in good condition. Complimentary coffee, water, and tea are available in the lobby. Shimizu Station is simply around the corner, offering easy access to Shizuoka, Nihondaira Yume Terrace, Miho no Matsubara... All in all a very convenient and great value hotel. We would definitely come stay again!

    Look, it’s an old hotel (even if it’s renovated) and it’s clear from the thin walls and style of the rooms. Completely fine and to be expected. The actual thing that ruined our stay was the cleanliness of the bathroom. When we arrived, the shower curtain was caked in mould (both pink and black, yikes) and the bathroom itself smelled really musty. We complained and the staff were nice, resulting in them cleaning/replacing the shower curtain the next day, but it left a really poor impression of the hotel itself. Even worse, upon further investigation, the bidet hose part of the toilet was caked in faeces. Unfortunately, that’s something you won’t be able to see until AFTER you use it and wasn’t cleaned even after complaining. For the price we paid, it was not worth the stay. It may be close to Shimizu station but there are far better options for cheaper.

    booked suruga bay suite. It turns out to be just a slightly bigger hotel room. Facilities basic. Welcome drink bar limited alcoholic drinks of mediocre standards. breakfast not bad. close to Shizuoka {not Shin-Shizuoka} station and the fish market at the bay. Would not book again
