    This was my third or fourth stay at this hotel. In the past, the Japanese front desk staff were always polite, friendly, and welcoming. Unfortunately, this stay was very different. The foreign front desk staff were not as friendly as I expected. One female staff member kept replying “I know” whenever I gave information and always looked unhappy. She did not smile at all during check-in or throughout our conversations. The room was also disappointing. The air conditioner was noisy and very dusty. The dust buildup was clearly visible and made the room feel poorly maintained. Overall, this stay did not meet the standard I experienced on my previous visits. Sadly, I will not return to this hotel again.

    Stayed here for only 1 night. The experience was great. The check in was smooth and the staff is friendly and able to communicate well in English although this is not a concern for me as I can speak Japanese too. Good to know for any other traveller. The room is really spacious, the mattress and pillow are soft yet firm. Not all amenities are ready in the room, but you can get it at the lobby, which are fine with me. The location is fantastic. While it is not super close to the main Ikebukuro station, the good thing is that it is at the calmer side of the hectic area, which is perfect. Really recommended hotel if you are in this area!!
