    well located on Biwa Lake to enjoy the view. it was rainny, so could be better.

    The room was very spacious but outdated. During our first night, probably because of the strong gust of wind, our room was really noisy for the entire night. Fortunately, when I complained about it, the staff were very happy to help us change to a more quiet room. We had a better sleep on our second night. They have a convenient store on the lobby and they also have a free shuttle bus to and from Otsu Station that runs every 30 minutes, however the full information is not readily available. It was hard to find the full details. I had to contact the property. What I love the most about our stay was the option to leave our luggages at the hotel and pick them up at Kyoto station for ¥500 a piece. This allowed us to explore Nara park hands free. The restaurant for breakfast is located on a higher floor which gives you a beautiful view while having your meal. The only thing I did not like was during our first breakfast, as we arrived at the restaurant, we were ushered by one of the male waiters to a table away from the window. Even though, there were tables for two available next to the window. When I asked him if we can sit in one of those tables, he ignored my request and just left without explanation. I saw him ushering Japanese guests, and he was very welcoming to them. I am not sure if it’s language barrier or he just doesn’t like foreigners.
