    Yes, I would recommend Hotel Pinciana, but with some reservations. In October, the air conditioning is shut off for the season, and only the fan operates — blowing warm air. It was still quite warm during my stay, so that was uncomfortable. Opening the window helped a bit, but mosquitos were a problem and the street noise made it hard to rest. The facilities were generally clean, though the hallway carpets were noticeably stained. Breakfast was average — not the best, but not the worst either. On the positive side, the shower water pressure was absolutely fantastic. Omar at the front desk was wry helpful and terrific. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I’d consider other options first and keep this one as a last resort.

    We spent 2 nights here at the end of an Italian holiday. The reason for selecting the Villa Pinciana was that it was close to the car rental office on Via Sardegna where we returned our vehicle. The hotel is also convenient for walking to the Villa Borghese gallery and park and the Via Veneto and Spanish steps. Set in its own grounds in a beautiful Roman mansion with available parking, with marble floors in the entryway and a pretty lounge and dining room it is a welcoming place. The gentlemen who rotate shifts at the front desk are all extremely helpful and friendly. Space in our room, a Classic Double, was tight and the decor and fittings had not been renewed for some years. But a spacious room is hard to come by in Rome and the furnishings in this room were of high quality and quite classic in the manner of the whole hotel. There is no bell staff or concierge, I’m not sure if there’s room service either so I’d consider this a budget hotel, but of good quality. Highly recommended.

    Used to book-end our arrival and departure from Rome and was very pleased with location and cleanliness. The 2 highlights of this hotel are the front desk staff who were always smiling, helpful and accommodating as well as the breakfast lady who catered to the buffet breakfast guests like family. Thank you and hope to see you again next time we're in Rome!
