Our 5-Night Stay – Honest Review My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in August. We spent the first 4 nights in Room 903 and the final night in Room 705. Overall, the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and the bathrooms were also large. The hotel has good potential, but it needs better maintenance, management, and guest service in several areas. The room was provided with a queen-size bed, but only two pillows. I would recommend providing four pillows for a queen-size bed for better comfort. Two clean white towels, two 1-liter bottles of complimentary water, and tea and coffee-making facilities were also provided. However, one of the towels had a hole in it, and there was a visible crack across the washbasin in the bathroom. There was no iron and ironing board or minibar in the room. I would recommend providing an iron and ironing board in every room as a standard facility. After I contacted reception, they kindly provided a minibar for Room 903. However, when we moved to Room 705, there was again no minibar. I requested one from reception, but unfortunately, it was not provided, which was disappointing. The hotel restaurant was under maintenance and not operating during our stay, so breakfast was delivered to our room. The breakfast was convenient, although having a functioning restaurant would have made the stay more enjoyable. On the fourth morning, at around 8:00 a.m., while we were still sleeping, reception called and informed us that our room needed to be changed because maintenance work was going to be carried out in the room next to ours. We agreed to move, but at around 9:00 a.m., the maintenance work started, with considerable hammering and noise while we were still in the room. We were eventually moved to Room 705 after 1:00 p.m. The new room was also spacious and comfortable, but, as mentioned earlier, the minibar was not provided despite my request. The corridors are quite dull, with dark colors and dim lighting. I would recommend using lighter colors and improving the lighting to make the hotel feel brighter, more welcoming, and modern. The reception area was clean and pleasant, and the female reception staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. There is also a rooftop swimming pool on the 11th floor. Unfortunately, the pool area appears to require maintenance. Some parts of the wooden deck were damaged, and some pillars were missing, which should be addressed for safety and appearance. The location of the hotel is good—approximately 1 km from Forum Mall, 5.3 km from Lakeshore Hospital, and around 11 km from Lulu Mall, with other facilities and attractions nearby. Overall, the hotel has spacious and comfortable rooms and a good location, but it requires better management, regular maintenance, and greater attention to guest service. Staff should be more responsive to guests’ requests and ensure that promised facilities are provided consistently. With proper maintenance, better management, improved guest service, and attention to detail, I believe this hotel could become a very good place to stay.
