    Booking through the Agoda app was one of my biggest mistakes. The room pictures shown at the time of booking looked amazing, but the reality was completely different. When I arrived, I found a pathetic room that looked like a dirty, poorly maintained house. The room smelled strongly of dampness and fungus, the bedsheet was torn, and the bed was bent in the middle. The overall condition and hygiene were absolutely unacceptable. I was travelling with my family and a 6-month-old baby, so changing the room at that moment was extremely difficult. We had no practical option but to manage our stay in such an uncomfortable environment. It was a terrible experience, especially when travelling with an infant. I trusted Agoda and made the full payment based on the pictures and the reputation of its platform. I never expected such a huge difference between the advertised pictures and the actual room. My suggestion to the Agoda team: Please physically inspect properties before listing them on your platform and regularly verify their cleanliness, hygiene, and actual condition. Customers trust Agoda when making bookings and deserve accommodation that matches the pictures and descriptions shown online. A word of advice to fellow travellers: Do not rely only on the pictures displayed on Agoda. Check recent reviews carefully and, if possible, inspect the room before checking in. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in Agoda. I hope the team takes this complaint seriously and improves its property verification process so that other families do not have to go through the same experience.
