Hôtel Nude Paris - Color Vision

All well except for the A/C which was not working. We however got breakfast as a compensation and the hotel agreed to give us a significant discount, which compensates for the difficult stay in June:D

Great location, near to RER B and plenty of restaurants and grocery nearby. Staff its friendly and helpful.

Good hotel

Before our stay, we received an email advising us that renovations were continuing on the ground floor and that there would be some noise and dust during the day. Based on that description, we assumed the disruption would be relatively minor and decided to keep our reservation. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. The renovations were extensive and directly affected our ability to comfortably and safely access our room. Walls and staircase railings were actively being painted, and we regularly had to walk up five flights of a very narrow, winding staircase without being able to touch the walls or use the railings for support. The stairs were uneven in places, and at times I genuinely felt unsafe and worried I could fall. This was made worse by the fact that the elevator was extremely small and did not work consistently, so we sometimes had to make the climb with luggage. The smell of paint was also very strong and unpleasant throughout the hotel. The hotel staff themselves were friendly and kind, and I want to be fair about that. However, our experience with some of the renovation workers and painters was very different. They appeared visibly annoyed when we needed to pass through areas where they were working simply to get to or from our room, which made us feel as though we were inconveniencing them by accessing a hotel we had paid to stay in. I was particularly disappointed that the hotel’s advance communication significantly downplayed the true extent and impact of the renovations. Had we understood that active painting would affect the stairways and railings, that there would be strong paint fumes, and that accessing our fifth-floor room could be this difficult, we would have cancelled when given the option. There was also significant noise at night from the restaurant directly across the street, which made it difficult to fall asleep. The friendly hotel staff were the positive part of our stay, but overall, the extent of the renovations and their impact on guests should have been communicated much more transparently.
