    Safe didn't work and despite bringing it to their attention on day one it was not resolved. TV also did not work. Room not very clean. Smell of urine from the bathroom. Pool is tiny. Photos on website very deceiving. Bar, if you could even call it that, closes at 9.30pm. location wise, it's a five minutes walk off of la rambla but the neighbourhood is rough with a lot of homeless and quite dirty. Have stayed in cathedral area before and would recommend it over this hotel. Definitely not worth the price we paid.

    Hotel Andante in Barcelona fell short of expectations, leaving a negative impression over a four-night stay that ultimately impacted the trip. A lack of welcoming atmosphere, poor room amenities, and an uninspiring location make it a place I would not choose again. Safety and Location Neighborhood concerns: The surrounding area did not feel safe. Incident witnessed: Saw police chase a pickpocket right near the hotel. Room Comfort and Atmosphere: Dark interior: Corridors and bathrooms are very dim due to an energy-saving policy. Contradictory policy: Staff changed towels daily despite them being hung up to reuse. Industrial feel: Rooms look bare, cold, and lack a cozy vibe. Missing amenities: No fridge, tea, or coffee station in the room. Hotel Environment and Service Unpleasant smell: A strange odor lingered across the property. Poor service: The front desk worker handling checkout acted with unnecessary sarcasm.
