    I chose the hotel for its convenient location near the train station. However, the check-in time on Agoda was incorrect; it was 3 pm instead of 2 pm. That wasn’t a major issue though. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, which is quite unusual for small French city hotels. I booked an executive room but was upgraded to a suite. I can’t say much about the differences, but it sounded nice. I heard I was upgraded. The room size seemed to be the same as the executive room I booked, around 22-24 square metres. The room in the picture looked recently renovated, but the materials were slightly low quality and a few things were already falling apart. The bed and mattress were too soft, possibly due to an old mattress. I didn’t dare to check for hygiene reasons and couldn’t sleep. I always bring my own bedsheet, duvet cover and pillowcases when travelling. The shower seemed new but the drain deflected water, flooding the room every time I showered. I left a note for housekeeping on the first day, but nothing was fixed until the fourth day. The water kettle was broken; it could boil but wouldn’t turn off. If I boiled the water and left the room, it would boil until it dried out and burned. I noticed this the last night but informed the receptionist, who seemed to know the problem before I finished my sentence. The room’s TV was supposed to be a smart TV that could connect to Netflix and YouTube, but it didn’t work either. I didn’t mind because I had my iPad with me. Overall, I would rate the hotel 7 out of 10.

    The room is big and the staff is very nice and the bed is in good quality and so comfortable. The location is so good and you can enjoy good food in Gusti
