    A basic hotel within a 15 minute walk from the train station, about 25 ish from the beach / promenade d'Anglais. Clean facilities, helpful staff (always someone around), didn't try the breakfast because you can pop out and get some quality coffee, pastries, sandwiches etc. within a block for the same price or less. The beds were uncomfortable but you get what you pay for and I wasn't expecting too much. Strong wifi, a coin based vending machine, luggage storage before/after stay - checked all of my critical boxes. An elevator would have been nice but I understand this isn't quite as common in older parts of the city. One weird thing is that you have to give the front desk your keys every time you come in / go out. I travel a lot and that was a first but they explained it's primarily because it costs so much to replace the keys (and presumably the lock, as the keychain includes the name of the hotel and room #). As long as there is always someone available to get them back from, it didn't make a huge difference. We had 3 women traveling together and overall it served our purposes, met expectations and we enjoyed our stay.
