    The hotel is next to the central train station, making it just 30m away (by train) from BRU airport + 5 minute walk. Food choices in the area are plentiful, both in terms of variety of cuisine and also in terms of quantity of restaurants. On the other hand, the area around doesn't have a lot in terms of shopping opportunities but just 20m walk west there's a shopping district. This makes the hoel an affordable and well-connected choice, whilst if shopping is your priority I'd choose something else, or embrace walking around the city and enjoying the views. Staff was friendly overall and available to answer our concerns, but we found the wifi a bit lacking in terms of relaiability and speed. The TV in the room has a chromecast so at least we could watch what we liked from our phones.

    The room was nice and clean upon check-in. However, I don't feel that the standard of this particular hotel is what I would expect from a four-star IHG property. The biggest issue for me was the housekeeping. On my first morning, when leaving the room around 10:30am, I noticed a €5 voucher had been left on the floor outside my bedroom door, supposedly because I had chosen an “eco-friendly stay”. I had never requested this, nor had I opted out of housekeeping. I went down to reception to explain the situation and asked for my room to be cleaned. I was assured that it would be done. However, when I returned later, it still hadn't been serviced. I subsequently had to ask reception four separate times between approximately 10:30am and 6:30pm for my room to be cleaned. Each time I was assured it would be done, yet it never was. As a result, my room was never serviced during my stay and I was not provided with clean towels. Having to repeatedly chase reception for something as basic as having your room cleaned is simply not acceptable, particularly for a hotel advertised as four-star. What made it even more disappointing was being repeatedly assured by reception that it would be dealt with, only to find that nothing had been done. Overall, the level of service was much closer to what I would expect from a budget hotel than a four-star IHG property. Very disappointing and certainly not the experience I was expecting.
