    Had a nice stay. A few small things in the kitchen that need replacing and one bedroom definitely had damp issues but other than that is great.

    This one bedroom swim-out apartment really could be called a two-bed. At the eastern end of the property it was quiet, a short walk to the beach, has a barbecue with table and lounge also a 30.second.walk away but was equipped with kitchenette, fridge, cooktop, mini dishwasher, etc, lounge area with lovely outlook across one of the lagoons, a washing machine and dryer, an ideal stay.for a couple with one or two kids, though my stay was me and my daughter who lives in Port but meant we could hang out, watch a bit of TV and relax. The nearest restaurant is next door at the Ramada, and the Silkari room comes with a complimentary bottle of wine at the Ramada if you want. I think the fact there.is no restaurant or bar at Silkari adds to the quiet of Silkari. If you're a light sleeper like me, it is ideal. The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes max, onto Four Mile Beach. Its a short 10 minuye walk to a nearby local pizzeria which has a sit down menu or as we did, enjoyed a cocktail while we waited then took our pizza to the beach. We had access to my daughters car but a local bus service is available on request to and from Port Douglas or walk Four Mile beach there and back. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay again.

    During the same trip, I stayed at Silkari Lagoons three times, to be near where my daughter I'd not seen for 6 months lives. I and then we, as I arranged for her to stay too, enjoyed a spa room and a swim out room. Two features are how quiet the property is and the outdoor barbecues ,which are a convenient way to keep costs down and meet people from around the world. It's literally two small blocks-walk to Four Mile Beach, and a couple more blocks to the Beach Shack (exceptional real pizzas), and I think there's a bottlo nearby too, all within walking distance. Our rooms were nicely decorated, full amenities, including fridge and in the one bedroom apartment some cooking facilities with a swim out feature. I'd definitely come back. I'm a light sleeper, and the site is perfect. Without a car, there's bus services, and with a car, you can part at your door. The entire place is two storeys high only, very accessible with lift access. The Ramada is next door, where you can find and use the restaurant (possibly with a discount if you're staying at Silkari) and/or a bottle of wine. It's very lush and tropical in the Ramada. Recommended.

    Everything South facing catches no sun and the swim out pools here are much colder. Look elsewhere for value for your money , so many other options. My room the toilet ran and the extraction fan in bathroom definitely so noisy needs replacing
